I still maintain that Zaha is in a similar situation to Mahrez, and was told he could get his move to a bigger club if he stayed a bit longer and the club of course hosed him on their end of the “agreement” and priced him out of a move every window.

It’s 100% in line with Palace’s owners and upper management and how they operate.

He thought he was doing the right thing signing an extension to get his club more money for his future transfer, and now he’s learned that football clubs can’t be trusted, not even his boyhood club.
