It's a really good player for his age. Still on top. Maybe now he will find a real good team.

Unless im mistaken, Vidic just agreed to join Inter next season on a Bosman. I guess it´s a step in the right direction for Inter, but Man U are doomed if Smalling/Jones is supposed to be the new Rio/Vidic.

Smalling has performed well at CB. Jones NEEDS to play at CB regularly - most people would say his injuries are down to being played all over the pitch. Evans has been good at CB as well. United aren't doomed in that position, but reinforcements are needed.

Yeah, I definately exagerated that statement. If Man U are in need of any reinforcements (which they are) they would need first class midfielders. Jones needs to find his rhythm (hasn´t impressed me so far) and Smalling has time to grow aswell. It will be interesting to see if Man U can bounce back and get into the Champions League this season or, hell, even the Europa League. It looks impossible atm with Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool looking to round out the top 4 in any order and with Man U having the worst record against the top teams this season and not currently boasting a midfield to compete with them (Mata is a good start, but they needed a midfield general imo in the mould of Keane/Vieira. Hope they get one next season) Qualifying for the Euro League seems plausible with Spurs performing (in general) irregularly and Everton has been playing well but don´t have enough strength in depth. But this is football and anything can happen. I also wonder whether Man U will actually be able to attract top talent next season even with a (probable, but not certain) season outside of Europe. I hope they can and will but have a feeling they will be in rebuild mode.

Yep, that price is a bargain. Hilarious own goals though.

So Barca sign both Marc-André ter Stegen and wonderkid Alen Halilovic the same week, not a bad week.

One player that would fit great w/ the Red Devils would be Omer Toprak, he is such an underrated defender.

About Barca signing ter Stegen, great deal. Was hoping he would sign somewhere else, but he fits in very well with Barca.

According to Sky Chelsea have agreed on a fee for Diego Costa. His release clause is 32 million

That seems extremely low for a buy out clause. Me think Courtois might be part of the deal in some fashion.

EDIT: And a google search brings a result from August that says his release Clause was near £50m. So basically me thinks Courtois goes back on loan

That would mean Courtois signed a new contract with Chelsea so I'd be mostly ok with that.

That being said, I think this summer is going to have a crazy transfer window and I wouldn't take anything at face value until you see it on a team's official website
