I was never into gaming as a teenager and even in my early 20's.

As a kid, my dad was a teacher and an author. He always prefered books around the house...didn't want TV / Games etc ruining kids minds.

For that I am eternally greatful. I grew up playing outdoor sports and reading a lot.

Also, I could never afford an Atari or my own TV. I shared a TV with my brother and it was old and hardly worked.

Got into gaming a bit via PC games. Mainly just NBA games.

Now I'm getting older and actually have some $ of my own...my own place...married to a very relaxed woman who has no problems with gaming etc...I've got myself a HDTV and a 360 etc.

I find it a great way to unwind.

36 turning 37 this year, but can remember vs baseball on NES, Tommy Lasorda baseball on genisis, jalecos baseball game on the nes, then my favorite game before computers came out i think was world series 96 when they did hte first re alignmnet and you could do trades... then i got a computer and got sierra's front page sports baseball 96, then 98, then came high heat 2002,2003,2004, all star baseball 2005, mvp 05, now mlb 06 the show and now in just a month of so... mlb the show 07...

baseball is life, the best sport ever a true thinking mans sport

sports gaming has replaced actual competitive sports for me; i played semi-pro baseball til 30. Since then, I have gotten very serious about gaming, as have many of my friends. My body can't quite do what it used to, but my mind is all there. I feel it is an exercise for the mind and I can't get enough.
