I wasn't even told this was posted lol Only reason I'm chiming in now.

For the record, I invited bigfnjoe to do this piece so we could capture both games in the exact environment. It's what I preferred, actually. I asked anyone interested in doing this for 2k8 to step up and hugger was the only one willing to take the time and the effort to do so. Joe and I could not work something out but I was more than willing to do this.

I agree some pictures look better than others. You can focus on Lowell's pic all you want, but I would ask others to focus on the entire shoot of player pics and faces. I don't see anyone making mention of Wang or A-Rod from the Yankees... hell, just look at Jeter. I think Beltran looks better in 2k8, for all the Met fans out there.

I really do welcome anyone to post pictures they've taken themselves of 2k8 as I no longer own it. For all the energy spent in this thread defending 2k's graphics, you could have just as easily posted pictures in comparison to prove your point.

In no way are those direct shots as we don't have the means to do so. (Debug units) They are 720p shots, close up, dim lighting...

Taking shots at someone taking the time out of their busy schedule to do this, just to add to the site is pretty tasteless.

N/P. It was fun and interesting at the same time. I think the difference in the two games really came down to textures on the players. You can see player faces in the show seemingly have more layers, where you can see their pores and unclear skin.

2k8's signature style is pretty damn good. You really see this in the pitcher-batter interface but when it comes down to still pictures you could really see the difference between the two.

Amazing considering I thought 2k7 was much better than The Show 07.

BOth games look off on faces in my book, the thing that stands out most is the amazing lighting in the Show, wow, realistic light makes a game so much more beatiful. Btw 2k is way off. All players have dark eyes too.

The show by far. I only have a 360 and hate 2K8, pretty much unplayable. Some o the faces on the show don't even look like the players. What'
s with the Cat eyes for most of the players? Neither these faces compare to what the guys at MVP mods do. Pitiful job on behalf of the people that make 5-6 figure salary for doing this.
