The thing is 2k had the exclusive third party MLB license. They got it once EA got the NFL license. But since it was just a third party license, it allowed Sony to create a first party exclusive. 2k chose to not renew their license. 2k put all their eggs in to NBA basket when they canceled MLB, NHL, and Top Spin. It's is up to 2k to make those games again.
They just can't make a NFL game because the NFL exclusive will likely keep being renewed

NCAA Football not made by EA though. Rather have someone like 2K give it a shot. I'm only lukewarm on football in general these days but would love to jump back into an NCAA football game.

Not sure if RBI baseball is going away since MLB it self controls that. But I could see them stopping RBI baseball since now MLB The Show will not be exclusive. It's a win win for both. MLB probably wanted them to end the console exclusivity and The Show will sell a lot more copies

College Hoops 2K, without a doubt

No question. MLB on the Xbox would be nice, college football and a 2k football game, probably in that order. But nothing could touch the 2K college basketball, not even 2K NBA.

This. I've seen how EA treats their sports franchises recently. MUT Squads for college football with a really shallow franchise mode? No thanks. I'd love to see 2k do college football. Competition might make both companies better, even if we won't get the competition at the pro level.

Hockey guy thru and thru did not care for NHL 2K so I would say college football. I think they were before madden when the stadium would shake it was pretty cool at that time in sport video games. Plus back then the Michigan Wolverines were more relevant than now.
