Great article. Ideally I believe for Eras to go get to an elite level is to have a quality historical roster where you can start at any NBA year. Then create the right content around any pivotal moments (think MJ era, Shaq/Kobe era, Bron/social media era) while seamlessly transitioning into future years.

I believe they are at the tip of the ice berg for how great this mode can be and the roster makers and content creators can take it to the next level if the tools are working properly.

Honestly. I may be in the minority on this one but I would want the '94-'95 Bulls with Jordan in the #45. I would want to see not only he lead the Bulls into the playoffs but also avenge the loss to the Orlando Magic. And then see if the Rockets would win a title against the Bulls then.

Being able to start in any year in NBA history is the way to go. And clean up the glitches while adding more authentic presentation elements to get the historical eras up to the quality of Modern.

I'll be happy with any added ERA. I really enjoy this mode and think it is one of the best video game additions in recent years.

I like the idea of the 1988 Pistons

1995-96 would be my #1 pick. Start of the Bull’s 3peat, Shaq’s free agency, one of the best drafts ever. A lot of things changed between the 1992 era and the 2003 era we currently have.

I think one of the biggest problems with the eras is a lack of players still, especially some bigger name ones. Some teams have more generic fake players than real ones. Besides the usual guys like Chuck, Reggie, and Rasheed, there’s still lots of missing a big names. Mookie, Alvin Robertson, Dale Davis, Tayshaun Prince, Andrew Bynum, David Lee to name a few.

None, and I dislike this article because I don't want yall giving 2k these bad ideas. We already have multiple bugs that have survived two release cycles (injury duration and playoff stats)

2k needs to take a break or pause from adding new stuff and fix what is already there.

Ah, the exciting anticipation for the next edition of NBA 2K! While the developers of the game ultimately decide which MyNBA eras to include in NBA 2K25, it's always fun to speculate and share our wishlist.
                  1980s Showtime Lakers:
The fast-paced, flashy style of the Lakers led by Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar would be a thrilling addition. Imagine orchestrating the "Showtime" offense with those iconic purple and gold jerseys!
                  1990s Bulls Dynasty:
Reliving the glory days of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and the Chicago Bulls' dominance in the '90s would be a dream come true. The battles against the Knicks, Pistons, and Jazz are legendary, and having that era in the game would be nostalgic for fans.
                  Early 2000s "Three-Peat" Lakers:
Witnessing the unstoppable force of Shaq and Kobe during their three consecutive championships would add a powerful dynamic to MyNBA. Recreating that inside-outside duo would be a blast for players.
                  2008 Celtics vs. Lakers Rivalry:
The intensity of the Celtics-Lakers rivalry in the late 2000s is unforgettable. Including this era would allow gamers to experience the fierce battles between Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Kobe Bryant, and Pau Gasol.
                  2010s Golden State Warriors:
The era of the Warriors' dominance with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green revolutionized the game. Fans would enjoy the fast-paced, three-point shooting style that defined this era.
Remember, these are just suggestions, and the actual inclusion of eras will depend on the game developers' decisions. Here's to hoping NBA 2K25 brings us a diverse selection of MyNBA eras to relive and enjoy!

Re: Which MyNBA Eras Should Be Added in NBA 2K25?

You're clearly misunderstanding the eras concept. It's not set to play with one specific team in that first season. Saying 95 to play with the bulls...? You can already play in 95 with the bulls, you just have to start a few years earlier. Download the right draft classes and control other teams' drafts and free agency if you want to make sure the 94-95 season is exactly as it should be. The question is what era should be added in 2k25, the answer is an obvious one, the ABA era. If we could play in the ABA, and the NBA simultaneously, the NBA without the 3-point line would be incredible, while playing the up-tempo ABA with the Red White and Blue ball, get to see what Pete Maravich's career could have been if he went to the ABA and without the injuries. Have players like Mel Daniels, Dan Issel, and of course Dr J make the ABA credible. Would be cool to choose which teams get absorbed into the NBA during the Merger, leave the Nuggets and Pacers behind obviously, and bring along the Colonels and the Squires instead. Then maybe 2k26 they'll add the 60's so we can replay the Wilt vs Russell, maybe add a salary cap so Wilt has a fair chance instead of having to go up against Boston's 8 future Hall of Famers every year. Maybe add LeBron, Jordan, (insert your favorite players) to the 1960 draft. 2k wouldn't have to make it so realistic that there's Regional 1st rd picks, or they could if they want to.

Now, getting to the point where we can start in any season we want is a brilliant idea whoever said that first.
On another note, 2k could hire people like me, and you, to make the draft classes accurate. I know it's not just a licensing/NIL thing because there's active players in the game now that are for some reason missing in their draft classes. I put a lot of time into making the classes as accurate as possible like a lot of people do, it's actually pretty fun, but you know what would be more fun? Playing the game with realistic rosters/draft classes.
I already said one more thing, but I meant two more things, Maximum / Minimum potential, do they even work for anybody? Or is their Potential rating their actual Max potential? And does the bust percent, average percent, actually influence a player's progression
