Not a peep from all the sources I read. My best guess would be EA Sports PGA Tour Golf 16, which I'm thinking will likely release in March of 2015. I wouldn't expect Hot Shots Golf for the PS4 to be that much further behind EA Sports' release.

I really don't know for sure. I do know that Tiger Wood PGA Tour 14 sold miserably, and justifiably so. I'm not sure how Hot Shots Golf World Invitational sold on the PS3, but since we heard so little noise from it, I'd say it was under projection as well.
My best guess is that gamers are looking for golf games to make a significant advancement, yet in many ways, they've actually regressed. It's a market that's ripe for the plucking.... question is - who's going to do it? I honestly don't have a reasonable guess at this time.

I hope the people that are making Hot Shots for the PS4 take their time making this game. Since they normally only release one game per generation what you see out of the gate is what you get for 5 years or so. I know their style is cartoon like players but it would be nice if they would make a few players that look a bit more life like.

Clap Hanz has made no mention of Hot Shots Golf on the PS4, which leads me to believe that they are taking their time with it. It held up fairly well on the PS3, IMO, even though it wasn't released until what - 2 years after the console's release? I'm getting my 2015 prediction of the Hot Shots Golf XX PS4 game from that experience.
I'm with you on offering more life like players, as an option at least, but there doesn't seem to be that strong of an outcry for it in this game. I'm curious to see what Clap Hanz can do with the PS4. I'm expecting an entertaining game, but not one that will ultimately satisfy my desire for a more traditional, realistic golf game... like the one I'd hoped Tiger Woods PGA Tour would eventually become.

Looks OK for $20. I watched a few videos and for the life of me I cannot figure out why this couldn't have been programmed for the 360.
It was originally intended to be an XBox 360 Live Arcade game, but Microsoft changed plans in midstream when they saw it had the potential to fill a void in the XBox One's lineup. I don't think it would have worked as a full price game on the One, but I get the impression it's been a mildly surprising. quiet hit in its current state. I'm curious to see if they release some DLC, in terms of additional golfers and courses... I suspect they will.
I still haven't taken the plunge into the next-gen, but I can say this... if somebody had made an adapter where I could use my Fanatec GT2 wheel system with the One, I'd already have a One in my entertainment center. Forza 5 and PowerStar Golf are two games I would prefer to have over anything else that's on the PS4 (well, until DriveClub and The Show arrive), but only if I can use my current wheel with Forza 5.
As for PowerStar Golf, I'm not a huge arcade style golf fan, but I can play them for a while to tide me over until a more realistic golf game comes along. Heck, I still play Hot Shots Golf World Invitational "Daily" tournament on my PS3 at least four days a week. I usually finish in the lower quartile also, but I keep coming back for more

There's a golf game coming out for the PS4 before the summer.
I'd love to know what more you know about this. Anything you cna share will be welcomed.I haven't read or heard a word about a PS4 golf game this year. Are you perhaps speaking of an Indie game? Not to say that an Indie game would be bad, but I haven't seen one yet that held my attention. I dabbled at Avatar Golf, which had a semi-decent course architect, but lacked a bit in terms of gameplay and ball physics.

Well, the game is going to be made by HB Studios, a Canadian company that's worked with EA Sports on games like Tiger Woods PGA Tour, Madden, NBA Live and other games.
The game is supposed to have a course creator feature where you can create any course you want, maybe even rebuild a course like Augusta National, Pine Valley or Chicago Golf Club.
And like I said, it's supposed to be released before the summer and they're going to release details, screenshots and videos in the coming weeks. I'm really excited and let's hope that this is a great golf game

Okay, I had read a story about an HB Studios golf game last year, but it wasn't very specific. I got the impression from the story I read that seemed to suggest that it was for current-gen consoles, but if they've got an eye on the future, it would be wise to be in development for next-gen, especially if they want to beat EA Sports to the punch. The article focused on the course creator feature more than anything else. Maybe I'd better do a little more digging on that and see if I can find some updated information on it. I get the hint that you have some inside information on this that you can't share at this point

Yeah, there wasn't much detail given out yet except in a little video they had that mentioned the course creator, graphics, etc. Mind if I ask, where did you find the story at?
