So a tiny bit of 11-on-11 has been shown.

So like a lot of you, I've been trying to dig to find reviews and gameplay for Madden 25 on next gen to see if it is worth the buy. Especially for me since I'm on PS3/PS4 so the upgrade deals really arnt for us.

I was in the middle of watching a video on how games are using the touchpad and at the 2:27 mark in the video, the Madden Dev team talks about how it uses the touch pad in Madden and we can see (very shortly) off-screen the 11 on 11 gameplay.

From what little I saw, I dont think they wanna show it because it's so incredibly similar. It's only a graphical upgrade and it is running a lot of the same engine from previous gen. For me, that's all I expected from transition/holiday launch title. I'd be more disappointed if this was going on 3 years later. But I figured I'd let you guys in on it. Link is below.

I just have a feeling Madden next gen is going to be a lot better then we all think. No it's not going to blow our minds but I do think it will be the best playing most enjoyable Madden since the PS2 days.

Madden 15 and beyond is when we all get blown away!!

The swipe mechanic looks good and like something i will actually use, but how telling is it that it constantly cuts away from the gameplay to those garbage CG cut scenes every time something was going to happen in 11 v 11. The fact that every game other than Madden and Live have been reviewed is also pretty telling.

We can only hope, but chances are slim... Kotaku wrote this in their PS4 review.

I don't buy this. If they don't want to show 11on11, it would be because people have inflated expectations. Of COURSE it should look similar to old gen. It's football (or their idea of football I should say)! What I DON'T want to see is them taking steps backwards and trying to excuse that by saying, "This is the start of a 3 year plan so we rewrote everything from the ground up" bull**** they like to pull on occasion. We all know this is a port up and that's fine as along as they continue to make progression. If you like Madden, you shouldn't have a problem with same gameplay.

What a striking difference when switching from the Madden to the basketball footage. It reaches out and slaps you in the face! The basketball makes you do a double take while Madden is........well, the same cartoonish Madden we have always known.

                How embarrassing for Tiburon.

If CoachGlass does what it says it will do, that will be a very welcome addition to the Xbox One version; anything that can help the defense...

                    This....
i just can't believe it and don't understand it. Every other game including the IGNITE engine partner FiFA has show raw unedited gameplay. And yet Madden is still hiding behind this veil. I see ps4 streams for Knack and resogun and none for Madden. There are no reviews out for Madden..it's really killing my vibe.

I know it's like 2 seconds, but on that outside run there was no lateral movement of the engaged lineman. It was in the AP run demo that's it, haven't seen it since.

First clip where I've seen refs on the field. Remember 2006 when they launched without even the refs in the game, and the awful stadium pa system announcing? I've never been more pissed at EA than the PS3 launch.

kinda hard to compare them since the 2k footage was from a broadcast camera so of course its going to look more real.

So it's the broadcast camera that makes the basketball players look photo realistic while the Madden models look like Looney Tunes? Ok, thanks for rationalizing that one away for me.....

I disagree, line play was a focus and they have been touting the new AI with the ability to do 60 calculations a minute or something to that effect. We should instantly see a realistic pocket on passing plays, outside runs should have the line flowing with the play creating real cutback lanes and the new AI should have a noticeable effect on pursuit angles. If the improvements are in as advertised, madden gameplay footage should be blowing peoples minds.
