Re: Open Beta: Why Not?

This Open Beta is being used on Twitter to get Followers & Retweets. They are not being selective about who gets codes just who does what they say to get them. I guess we will see how this works out for Madden.

I think anyone who has EA ACCESS should have access to the Beta.

Re: Open Beta: Why Not?

Obviously we all want to play the game early but I think an Open Beta for a game like this does more harm than good. For some games Open Betas are excellent and can help producers find a lot of bugs that they otherwise might not such as open world games. But a game like Madden will do a lot better with a smaller closed beta. Too many cooks in the kitchen can spoil the soup!

Honestly, I do not think that the feedback they are getting from this will help speed along bug fixing processes. Just a hype machine.

Re: Open Beta: Why Not?

Judging by the way they handled this “closed” beta, i think there is a gery good chabce they will open the beta to everyone at some point like the last 3 days or so.

Usually a closed beta is reserved for selected peOple. This beta seems to have been mostly random releasing of codes to everyone. The whole purpose of a closed beta is to get feedback from trusted sources, randomly showing codes on twitter doesnt really promote that idea. This was more of a marketing beta if anything.

At this point, I am actually frustrated that there is a beta. I have spent a lot of time trying to get a code and unless you sit on Twitter 24/7 and copy/paste within 30 seconds, you are screwed.

Yea, I don't think you're going to see it opened up to everyone.

Re: Open Beta: Why Not?

i mean its not that serious, its clear that these codes were given to promote the game but yet keep a hidden nda on the game, in less than a month or so everyone will get to see whatever this game has to offer, im still not holding my breath for it personally, but will see.

in the mean time do ya self a favor play something else, dont sweat it.

Re: Open Beta: Why Not?

Would have been cool if we were allowed to invite one person to the beta. You could only invite someone if you received a code, people with invites couldn't send out invites. That way it would have still limited access and at the same time allowed like minded gamers to get others in for feedback. We could get more OS people in.
