I stand corrected, did not know that

This looked edited. At 20-22 seconds a frame cuts out .

Yes you're wrong. Both teams must possess the ball regardless of time on the clock unless the first team to get the ball scores a touchdown. So the overtime clock will reset if the second team hasn't finished it's possession.

Probably not edited, just a jump in the capture. Edited or not though, this was actually posted often in the bugs/glitches thread. The game would have a glitch where overtime would never actually start. I'd been afraid to have a game go to overtime because of it lol

Well, again as patsfan1993 pointed out:

ARTICLE 4. OVERTIME IN PRESEASON AND REGULAR SEASON
The following shall apply to overtime games in the preseason and regular season.

There shall be a maximum of one 10-minute period, even if the second team has not had an opportunity to possess the ball or if its initial possession has not ended. If the score is tied at the end of the period, the game shall result in a tie.

Clearly you haven’t read the other posts and have not done your own research.

I'll own up to my mistake, I was thinking of playoff overtime. Forgot the NFL has separate rules in regular and pre season and games can end in ties in those instances.
