M22 Injury Slider - Redundant for sim or training injuries

    Hello all,

I ran through a few seasons with different injury sliders to try and determine the rate at which it affected the training injuries and injuries during a simulated game. I was going to do an in depth statistical analysis for different sim settings...

What I found was that the slider seems to make no difference to either training or sim rate and is likely purely just injury rate within a live game. See chart below for the total injuries per week over 3 seasons on slider setting 25 and 50 with 1 season at 100 and 0. I was going to do more but stopped as soon as I saw no difference. Good to see that training injuries and short 1-2 week injuries make up around 2/3s of total injuries each week (seeing up to worst case ~4 training injuries per team). See chart below:

You'll also notice in Season 3, the dark blue results suddenly zero out. This is a bug in the game where if you go into the franchise settings-gameplay sliders (even if you make no changes) it'll reset all the leagues injuries to zero in online franchise. Not sure how extensive this bug is but can recreate it on multiple online franchise. See link below:

Twitch is the world's leading video platform and community for gamers.

Also if you want to start an online league with 0 injuries to start (and don't have the bug) you need to set both pre-existing and normal injury settings to off to start, otherwise the CPU will go through their training and teams will show 1-2 week injuries before you coaches have a chance to join (put injuries back on once all coaches have joined).

Also also, a bug can happen when a season ending injury player put on IR will suddenly show no injury and 0 weeks left. Had it happen a few times.

That will explain the lack of AI injuries then. I'm still tinkering with sliders and see very few AI injuries.
At 50 by the way, mine are working well. Lots of short term injuries to work through.

We're still working through gameplay sliders at SMLE (32 coach), was thinking of starting at 50inj in our test league (default is 25) and getting data on number of snaps between injuries that stick (1 week or more).

Also folks want to turn ON practice injuries. I've heard that cpu practices in full pads each week and as they account for the majority of injuries then there'll be much fewer injuries in a solo CFM without it turned on.

Also the bug hasn't been recreated by other league members yet but details are being shared with EA.

Apparently low injury frequency in sim games for M23 so will need to check if league wide reduction injury rating can increase frequency in sim.
