To be quite honest, I usually don't believe a new feature is working properly until I see it myself. This year they are telling us that production actually matters so I wanted to do a quick little test before we got in to some other stuff. I took four players all under 80 ovr that overacheived in the first year of the connected careers mode (all CPU generated teams). I wanted to see if a player's performance would actually result in a big jump in ratings. Here's what I got:
Brian Quick/WR/Rams
2012 Connected Career Stats - 821 yards
2012 Rating - 70 ovr
2013 Rating - 72ovr
Brooks Reed/ROLB/Texans
2012 Connected Career Stats - 88 tackles 12 sacks
2012 Rating - 79ovr
2013 Rating - 83ovr
Dontay Moch/LOLB/Bengals
2012 Connected Career Stats - 121 tackles
2012 Rating - 59ovr
2013 Rating - 69ovr
Chris Rucker/CB/Colts
2012 Connected Career Stats - 6 Ints 56 tackles
2012 Rating - 69ovr
2013 Rating - 73ovr
Hmmm, not bad. I definitely like what I see with Dontay Moch. I don't think a player like Moch would have gotten a ten point jump over one season no matter what his stats were. Anyway, just wanted to do that quick test before I got into more stuff. Ill be back with another post once I get to season three. Maybe we can look at some CPU signing logic.
