The schemes in CCM cause players overalls to change. In play now it's just a standard baseline overall.Comment

Re: depth chart in ccm menus vs in game
this happens to me too. i go to my depth chart in ccm, then go into game in ccm and my center has an eleven point drop in his overall. perhaps its the playbook i chose?
because otherwise team scheme doesn't explain itComment

Re: depth chart in ccm menus vs in game
The reason for this is that in during a game in CCM the depth chart displays their actual ratings, as in the ones that Donny Moore set for play now/online play. The ratings shown in the depth chart in the CCM menu screen is adjusted based on your schemes you run (ie: power run or prototype cb etc.).
Now I'm not sure why the in game CCM depth chart doesn't show the adjusted values...Comment

THANK YOU!
I made a thread about this yesterday, basically asking the same question. This does in fact sound right, I think. It would then mean that looking at overall rating during a CCM game would mean nothing, since it doesn't calculate the differences in scheme (and perhaps the production rating as well, since all rookies have higher OVR stat when in the game).
Yet it is only cosmetic in the end!Comment

Re: depth chart in ccm menus vs in game
Why would punt and kick returners change? I have guys that are up 8 points in returning in game ccm vs menu ccm.
Also, is there a way in menu ccm to see the players unadjusted scheme rating? If that makes sense at all. Players moving around 10 points based on scheme is a bit scary...so when I'm trading for them I'd like to know what their ratings would be in different schemes I guess. Probably not possible...but it'd be nice!Comment

I had Jason Kelce go from a 71 overall to an 88 because I moved him from pass block to zone block. Pretty crazy stuff.Comment

Re: depth chart in ccm menus vs in game
Still doesn't make any sense- How does Drew Brees go from a 97 overall to a 91 when starting a CCM as the Saints and keeping the same exact coach/ game plan that was in place?Comment

Re: depth chart in ccm menus vs in game
What ratings should we go by then? The ones that are in game in CCM? Is there any way to see the ratings that matter in the menu mode in CCM? I'm confused as to which ratings matter in CCM mode. Thanks again for the feedback.Comment

Re: depth chart in ccm menus vs in game
the rating in the game is the base over all. your player will still play like the ovr in ccm it just goes to base overall for the game because its a game. yes even the returner values go to base because they are part of your scheme as well. rb, wr ss,Comment

Re: depth chart in ccm menus vs in game
I think the reason they are doing this is to force people into using the XP system and just not casually ignoring it...If you drop the player ratings based on schemes they figure the users will try and build the players back up quickly and actually play the practice modes.
My opinion...If I want to play a role playing game i'll put Skyrim in my console...Please keep a sports game a sports game.Comment
