Why does madden why away from being able to double cover or triple cover a player?

Id not only want to see the plays back in madden but I don't understand why it cant be part of a key pre-game gameplan choice you should be able to formulate before a game.

I think the coach mode could be boosted a lot by having to make choices of how to tackle weekly opponents.

On Offense the counter could be the ability to spotlight the M backer just like Quaterbacks do in real-life thoughts?

since you control the QB, Im pretty sure you're supposed to identify the mike LB and you can spotlight any reciever you want with as many players as you want pre snap, so are you asking why the CPU doesn't do it for you? Or why you have to do it on the fly?

thats the beauty of the 49er D, both of those guys are legit Mike backers, reminds me of Bart Scott and Ray Lewis a few years back.

again it doesnt work if you are coach mode rather than the qb

funny thing is all i ever play is man with 2 over the top or cvr 1 if im robbing or blitzing, this in 3-4, 3-3-5 or 2-4-5. now i know my sliders are set at all-pro default but in coachn things should be equal. the lbers just annihilate any run game and are good enough to scare qbs if you assume pass on 3 and 6+ <O.o>

Doesn't matter. You Identify the Mike mostly for the Oline and your protection schemes. So calling either one, only alters to which side your center or guard go in pass protection.

Which is another problem because no one on the Madden team IMO cares about details like that enough to make it matter.

but thats my point, you think willis is the mike shift protection and in reality its bowman. bowmans numbers have been stellar maybe because olines have been thinking willis and bowman tackles the rb

Spotlighting a player i find is questionable at best and isnt really double coverage its just if a player enters a zone.

Double coverage should be easier to implement as its a legitimate part of game-plans and should be in game too.

Double coverage should be easier to implement as its a legitimate part of game-plans and should be in game too.

Double coverage needs to be fixed to make the AI work together in a high-low or inside-outside way. As it stands, both players just man cover the guy in the same way, which means that they often both fall for the same move.

also id like to be able to pick who is double covering. 3-4 v3 I, i still want both corners on the WRs, however on double id want my better at coverage MLB underneath and and the strong safety over the top, FS goes single high but the SS doesnt move down over the TE until the snap so it still looks like cover 2

It would be nice if there was a way to identify who all the guys are on the defense. It's really hard to tell who is matched up on who and find out where the mismatch is

Confusing the read of where the 4th rusher/blitz pressure comes from.

So if that's how it would work, that's a GOOD thing, imo. I'd read one and the pressure is coming opposite, get fooled, have a tough play/take a hit or sack. The defense needs ways to create deception and confusion just like the offense.

I agree that defense should be able to create more confusion just like in real life. Few years back players would move like on the ravens back and forth but was removed except for a few plays i think.

Really think it would be a perfect cat and mouse game on both sides of the ball and would improve the gameplay.

Trying to find a vid of manning audible then defense audibles agaisnt manning cant remember who the defense was but it highlights how key the checks are.
