Recommendations? Getting a PC version for MyLeague

I didn't learn my lesson in 2K16, so I got NBA 2K20 on Xbox. When the servers went down, I wasn't completely screwed like 2K16, but it's limited me a bit.

I want to take my existing dynasty (see my signature) and move the NBA portion of it over to PC. If I were to buy a version of NBA 2K on PC specifically for MyLeague and the ability to download custom courts, uniforms, and edit players, which version would you recommend?

Wait for 2K24? Go for 2K23 or 22? (it appears that older versions are delisted from Steam).

The 2K20 gameplay did not feel as good as 2K16, so if any of those have improved gameplay, that's a factor as well.

?The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.

?Ask me about the Xbox Ally handheld - I'm on the team that made it.

This was a few months ago, so I got 2K23. Loved it so far. Robust mods, none of the problems that folks are having with ramping up on 2K24 so far since some of the way the game is modded has changed.
