Which NBA teams need a rebrand the most?

Doing some brainstorming for a long running dynasty I've got going on. Which NBA teams most need a rebrand? This could just be a color or uniform update, or an entire new name and logo.

For instance, nobody seems happy with the Wizards.

I'd rename the Wizards, but keep their look. Their current logo/jerseys are nice.

Thunder need a full rebrand, new jerseys, new logo.

Rockets I'd just go back to the logo they had a few years ago. The grey basketball logo just sticks out in a bad way.

Good feedback, thanks. I don't mind the Thunder name, but I agree on the logo and uniform. Definitely something they could lean into with either lightning or bison.

What about the Raptors? Being from Toronto, do people think it's dumb because it's unrelated to the city?

People wanted the Huskies name back a decade ago because everyone felt the Raptors name was "a sign of the times" since it only happened due to the Jurassic Park movie.

You'd be surprised what building a brand and more importantly winning does to change people's mind. Back when that first big change happened in 2014, they had no real brand/identity as the team had sucked for most of the last 10 years.

Although they're rebranding their logo/jerseys next year anyways so we'll see how the new one looks.

Wizards need to either rename themselves to something else I am not a fan of the Wizards name at all or double down and go full on with the Wizards theme.

Me personally, I want to stick with the Wizards name but the franchise just adopted the color scheme of the Nationals and Capitals (mainly because Leonsis owns both the Caps and Wiz). Our old logo leaned more into the Wizards name which is where I think they should go.

If the organization is dead set on the red, white, and blue color scheme, I've heard names such as the Generals or Districts (latter is lame in my opinion) floated around.

I know a bit about DC and tried to brainstorm something around Anacostia, Chocolate City, or other local things, but couldn't. I do have some ideas though, but don't want to spoil it for the Bulgarian Brothers if I end up doing it

Can't be worse than Commanders....

Given they have the Nationals and Capitals already, if the NBA team rebrand they probably should just go with a similar themed name.

I've always felt Senators (Sens for short like we see with Ottawa in the NHL) would be an obvious rebranding name for either NBA or NFL. In NBA at least it wouldn't even require a colour or logo change.

Washington Monuments. Most generic name could work but would probably receive the same criticism as Commanders did. But Ted Leonsis company is called Monumental Sports and entertainment so it could fit.

Washington Mambo Sauce would be a fun name but naming a team after a sauce would be silly. The G league team the Capital City gogo actually has a better name.

Washington Crank which could work with the gogo theme but could also backfire

Washington Ammo. Not the Bullets but similar. Being half in to the old name.

Washington Federals only because they could call themselves The Feds!

Washington Spartans or Gladiators but I'd rather the Commanders use those names.

Can we bury the Clippers once and for all? I like the old USFL name, LA Express. I think that fits basketball pretty well.

I hate the Utah Jazz. There's a history there that might be tough to let go of. I also hate the Lakers, but it's impossible to move away from that history.

The Grizzlies in Memphis is silly as well. Memphis Blues has a nice ring to it, and lends itself immediately to a color scheme and local culture.

For a while in NBA 2k I always relocated the Clippers to Baltimore because a) Baltimore should have an NBA team, but more importantly b) Baltimore Clippers actually fits
