I'll get the obvious out of the way and acknowledge that the Celtics just won their 18th championship several months ago. Being able to win a championship for the Celtics in 2k while the Celtics built towards one in real life was a big part of the reason why I attempted to do these. Now that the Celtics are finally NBA champions again, I want to see if I can match and surpass what they've done.
Something else I want to point out is that this won't be a completely new mynba. It's going to be a continuation of the last thread with the 2k23 Celtics. I kept playing through the 2022-23 season and I'm currently in the offseason. I don't think I can properly update the previous thread and give it the amount of detail that I would like so I'm starting a new thread in the offseason.
For now the format will still be week-to-week updates during the season with the Celtics being the main focus. Also going to highlight other games, news and injuries from around the association. I'll also monitor teams to make sure trades, signings and other decisions aren't too crazy.
I also want to point out that this is replacing another thread that was deleted because I felt I went overboard with some decisions during the offseason. Felt like I needed to start over with a clearer vision of how teams will operate in terms of the draft, trades and free agency.
