just got that message....looks like last years bug is still there so no full roster from me...too many restraints I like the game a step up but without full editing ability its just not complete..sorry guys

Ugh, I thought it had been confirmed that 2K dropped this ridiculous limit. Any idea what the limit was?

i read this over at the 2k forums...

this is just really frustrating... i just knew this would happen, even though people kept saying otherwise. i'm not touching rosters this year.

i think it would be wise until an official update comes out and then build on them from there. i started my file last year around June 28th (i think). that allowed me to get a pretty good handle on the important players and also the top prospects.

but this just sucks and i see nothing that 2k can do to fix this...they don't listen to their customers, and i also don't like how the sliders have been more limited this year.

funny, but even though i bought this game on release day, i haven't opened it yet... i'm starting to wonder if i should... this roster deal is almost a game-breaker for me.

Did you reach an editing limit or a create a player limit?

Also, it wasn't a bug last year. There has to be specific code for that to happen. Even if this is true a patch should be simple. The code basically reads if a certain number of edits occurs display this message and don't allow more edits. They should be able to make a patch that turns that off. Either up the edit limit to an absurd number like 1,000,000 or be able to ignore that section of code altogether. Maybe I'm way off but it should be a simple, as opposed to other issues, fix.

I'm getting more and more convinced that people who work on games don't give a crap about franchise players. It's all about the casual gamer anymore and online play.

Amen! I'm taking the game back now. Me being a franchise guy then this kills the game for me. I'm done with the MLB 2K series in all now. Glad I have a PS3 & the best baseball game in The Show.

Why is we get no answers about this editing issue? Same thing happened last year. We get no explanations. Someone stated it was about legal purposes in using actual names for people to throw around on 2K Share. The supposed player likeness deal. If that's the case then why can't we get a dang explanation from 2K Sports?

They go into hiding with issues we need an explanation for or just don't care either one. It's sad because this years game has made great strides with gameplay & improvements but this limit thing takes the cake for me.

I can't get around that part because the franchise mode is my favorite mode of play. I want accurate rosters for all teams but not gonna happen with the edit limit. Geez 2K Sports!

I thought I heard in one of those pre-release podcasts that there was no limit to the number of edits.

Well, there seems to be confusion about this really. It's supposedly said that it was meant to be for no limits on just what you could edit for players & not an actual overall amount of player edits. It's still not confirmed but I went back & read a couple of different articles. It's not real clear on either of the two I read.

It was stated "the editing limits have been removed". Does that mean the amount of players that can be edited or does it mean just the things you can edit for the players? No matter what it's a disgrace if this hasn't been addressed & allowed for MLB 2K10.

We shouldn't be put on limits for editing players period. The PS2 game back 3-4 years ago didn't even have edit limits. Geez!

We need Ridin to confirm this. He says he got the message doing his roster work. He can also tell us how far he went before the limits came up.
