Re: 2006 Detroit Tigers

Verlander does it again...CG shutout and 7 K's gives the Tigers three in a row and 10 of their last 11.

Re: 2006 Detroit Tigers

Tigers win again and sweep the reeling Royals in a 13-8 comeback victory. Maroth got shelled and only pitched 1/3 of an inning, giving up a six spot in the 1st. I am impressed at how this team won't quit if they are down early, finally tying the game in the 8th with three runs and took the lead with five runs in the 9th.

Next up are the Indians at home...hopefully they can match their outstanding road record (20-7) with a great homestand against their rivals and continue their 6 game win streak and 13 out of their last 14.

If The Tigers can go 8-7 or better in that stretch, they are for real. They are playing nearly .750 ball on the road this year.

The starting pitching has gotten roughed up a little in the 4 game series with KC, but as bad as the pitching seemed, they only gave up 16 runs in those 4 games.

Lets go Tigers. Another great performance by Verlander tonight.

Hopefully Maroth has a speedy recovery. They need him in the rotation.

3 losses in a row. The Nay Sayers are looking right, the Tigers aren't, can't or won't show up against the Yankees.

Nate pitches tonight and Verlander on Thursday. They can't afford a sweep by the yankees with the Redsox and Whitesox on tap....

Coming from a Cubs fan, that Farnsworth outing looked very familar. I told my buddy that he was going to blow it and he came through for me.
