PS2 vs. PS3 version
Can anyone tell me the main things that will be missing from the PS2 version? i don't have a PS3, and don't intend to buy one, but I do have a PS2 and I am considering The Show on PS2 over MLB on 360. Any opinions? Would this be a waste of money?UofM-Duluth Bulldogs HockeyTags: None -

Re: PS2 vs. PS3 version
From what I understand the only differences between the two are that the PS3 version offers the ability to create custom soundtracks and also has progressive lighting. It need not be said that the graphics on the PS3 version are substantially better. However, the gameplay and features are similar. In fact, for a PS2 game it looks quite good. I would buy it.Comment

Ha-ha!
Which game are you refering to when you say "waste of money"? An absolute no-brainer if you're a sim baseball fan. The PS2 version of the Show is the game to get. That's what I play, and it's everything the PS3 version is gameplay-wise.

I have a PS2 and 360 and I'm getting The Show. The features are identical to PS3, aside from lighting, graphics and custom soundtracks.
Not sure on the rosters but I know last year there were updates when you signed in online.Currently Playing:

Re: PS2 vs. PS3 version
Just played the 2k9 demo and it doesnt look so great. Guess im getting The Show for Ps2. Good thing i didnt sell it. Did they add anymore faces/equipment for RTTS. The wristbands are so generic. The wrist wristband could only go on the left arm. The arm wristband could only go on youre right arm. And i hope they can say peoples name. "Coming up to bat, nnnuuummmbbbeerrr 8!" Re: PS2 vs. PS3 version
Either get a PS3 and buy it or don't waste your money on the PS2 version. Anything on the PS2 looks hella primitive compared to anything on PS3. You are going to see someone playing it on PS3 and PS2 version be like looking through muddy glasses. Save that dough and put it towards your PS3 savings account.Yankees & Nationals - The American Way!Comment

get it for PS2, save your money until u have enough for a PS3, sell the PS2 version (& maybe the PS2 system if u want
), & get the PS3 along with the PS3 version of the game

Re: PS2 vs. PS3 version
I'm having the same debate with myself right now. The Show for PS2 or 2k9 for 360. I'm a bit of graphics whore, so this is a tough one for me.
I have 07 for the PS2 I wonder how big of an upgrade is aside from rosters. Does it have the BP and baserunning mode?Comment

). The biggest diffrence were graphics (obviously) and load times. Other then that, they were exactly the same.
