right, in fact i think the devs even asked knight if this was ok. they told him his rosters would be moot after the new patch. he said to go ahead with it, and he may have to make brand new rosters.

Well it's one thing if the historical glitch would still happen when using older rosters like those that Knight's were based off of, but for everyone to have to start new Franchises and RTTS's is total bull**** in my opinion.

crazy.

I don't know man - if deleting the patch doesn't work, I might be done with this game. It's been fun, I won't knock the game but I've suddenly lost interest in the game. I don't have time to redo what I've done in RTTS and just no interest in franchise right now.

If there's a fix for this freeze than I'll keep going but right now I'm beyond dissapointed. Brutal.

Re: Franchise freezing post-patch??

I'm very afraid!!!!

I sat down finally with 2 days this weekend to do nothing, but be a bum and finally played my Franchise into the middle of May. My roommate which is really a bum is at the end of September in his franchise about to hit the off season. I am also in an online league. If this is true I don't want to download the patch at all which means I would sacrifice playing in my online league over these franchises, but in the end this might be the straw that broke the camels back for me. For both of us to have to start over wouldn't be worth it in my opinion. Disheartening to say the least!!! I love this game, but why????

i agree. i just deleted the patch and it seems to work fine now (the saved franchise). i may just have to play with the glitches and what not, cuz there is zero percent chance im starting over

Re: Franchise freezing post-patch??

For all of those having this issue can you state whether you are using the new post patch rosters from today or using pre patch rosters.

I think if we can decide that its only prepatch we can then just rule out using them. As much as i like some of the rosters out there. The game crashing if i use them is enough to sway me to only the new post patch rosters.

Re: Franchise freezing post-patch??

on the ps3 menu screen go to Game Data and delete it (press triangle, then delete). Do Not touch the save files though. when you put the disk in again, the patch is gone and you can play pre-patch. this allows the franchise to work as normal, along with other game modes. you do have to wait at the loading screen while it reinstalls the game data, but its only about a five minute wait.
