The guys at SCEA are certainly quite passionate about their baseball.....and their baseball game.
It didn't take me long when I was at the studios to see why MLB went from a mediocre title to IMO the best baseball game out to date.
You've pretty much nailed it in your assessment there.
Also...that's a great move with the EB card and trade ins.
I gotta get off my duff and do that.

Anyway....Glad to hear you are enjoying your new purchases!

I own both systems. Although my 360 gets most of my attention (like Live much better than PSN), MLB The Show 08 is what forced me to buy the PS3.

The system has great exclusives such as Metal Gear Solid 4 (AWESOME), Killzone 2 and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune with Uncharted 2 release around the corner.

I am surprised that Sony has steered away from NHL Faceoff or hasn't brought Gretzky Hockey to the PS3. NBA The Life needs to go bye bye, though...Game is terrible...

All-in-all, a great system.

I bought a ps3 this year just for the Show and don't regret it one bit. I now have a pretty large ps3 game collection and my 360 and Wii are collecting dust. Am currently playing Madden 10 and The Show. Congrats on a great purchase.

I bought a ps3 just for the show in 2007 and that was after i bought The Show on the ps2 and psp. $600 well spent. Im single so no gf to complain about how i spend my money.

When I saw that the PS3 went down $100, it was an instant sell for me. As soon as the new console came out, I went out and bought it along with Infamous and The Show. I haven't regretted it (don't think I ever will since the xbox sucks when we are talking about baseball games)... even though learning how to hit and reading pitches is killing me.

I did the same thing when the 09 version was released. Wasted no time and bought PS3, definitely worth it. In fact my Xbox 360 is growing dust. I'm even considering getting rid of it as I'm tired of it freezing on me all the time. PS3 haven't frozen on me yet *knocks on wood* I should have bought ps3 instead of Xbox 360 when I did.
