    Who would you REPLACE the Commentary Team with...

    I actually agree with this and thought it would make an interesting topic to discuss who you guys think would be good replacements to The Show's commentary booth team

    However I have to stop laughing after reading this quote on Darkfudge's website first...

    The analogy I can make here is it's like upgrading your wedding suite each year from Perry Ellis, to Hugo Boss and eventually an Armani but still wearing it with the same old scuffed up Florsheim shoes you got years ago. Besides the fact that Matt Vasgergian and Rex Hudler are just dull and have no electricity whatsoever, their commentary is starting to get old and tiring. Next, to the 'oragami' guy, Dan O'Keefe at 2K Football, The Show's commentary team borders on the most annoying in sports games. It's time to kick these guys to the curb and compliment your award winning game with an equally deep and talented baseball commentary team, ...Hell, I'd even settle for hockey guys, like Doc Emrick or Gary Thorne just to get some excitement an energy into the booth!


    I personally would love a Joe Buck ....and isnt Gary Thorne also a baseball commentator too? I could swear I heard his voice in the just released MLB 2K10 demo?

          That guy that does the Brewers games. He might be their radio guy. He did the announcing in the movie Major League. I don't feel like googling him.

              Personally, I'd love my home team announcer because it would make my Franchise even more realistic

              I had that when Vasgersian was the Padre guy but now that he's gone how about the current voice of the Padres, Dick Enberg

                  Gary Thorne is awesome! I'd love to have him on the show. He does MLB 2k games though.

                  I would like each team to have their own broadcast teams but that's probably unrealistic.

                  Tom Brennaman wouldn't be a bad choice. I like how he calls games.

                      Vin Scully would be awesome, even if he is the Dodger's guy, he's stil an astonishing commentator.

                          BLASPHEMY!!! Dan Stevens and Peter O'Keefe are the best duo in sports games ever! They are the prime example of how voice actors are fifty times better than real broadcasters.

                          As for the game, I think all they really need to do is replace Rex Hudler. I don't really care who it is, but if Rex reminds me of how beautiful the summer is and how kids are flocking to the ballpark, I'll rip off his hair and cram it up his bum.

                              I don't mind Matt and Rex. My only complaint is that they've been around forever, so I have started to "tune them out" to some extent. However, I see no particular reason to replace them, as I don't think they detract from the franchise at all.

                              That being said, what I would LOVE to see happen is each team have their own set of announcers, just like they do in real life . Yes, I am more than well aware that this is simply not possible for many reasons (time, technology, disc space, money, etc. etc.) but maybe one day it will happen, in MLB The Show: 2020, on the Playstation 4. :-)

                                      I don't mind Matt and Rex i just wish they would have more actual conversation and interactions with each other and not just talking.

                                              i agree on Rex.

                                              i think they went two years too long on his Show contract.

                                              Its like the knicks trying to get rid of curry.

                                              in any event, I'd keep Dave Campbell, vamoose Rex and just for a new feel, I'd add a new Play by play guy.
