MLB '10 Incorrect Commentary Thread

What we are looking for is commentary that is played at incorrect times. For example

"If they lose this one, they will fall to 2 games under 500". Can you let us know when this happens? Exhibition, Season, Franchise Online etc... if its wrong just post it in here. As always just use the template below and thx again for your help.

Exhibition...

Not sure which announcer, but when playing as the Rangers at home, when it gets to about the 7th inning and the camera pans around the field, they refer to the "Ranger's Ballpark in Arlington" as "Ameriquest Field".

This is wrong, obviously, because the name changed a year ago after Ameriquest mortgage went bankrupt.....you guys changed the name in everything else but I guess that line of commentary was forgotten about...

Why Was It Incorrect: I played a game against the Mets at Citi Field and after the game ended the PA announcer said Today's Attendance at Shea Stadium is.........

Game Mode: Franchise

Incorrect Commentary: At Fenway park during the first series of the season (I was the visiting Yankees), in 2 of the 3 games Matt commented at the start of the game that it was a good thing they were inside a dome because the weather was so cold that day. I'm pretty sure the temperature for both of these games was 40 degrees.

Why Was It Incorrect: Obviously, Fenway isn't a dome.

Incorrect Commentary- They keep calling the Mets the Nationals at random points during the game.
Why was it incorrect?- I'm using the Mets not the Nationals

They probably watch the product on the field and get those two teams confused with each other.

Incorrect Commentary: Matt V. "Ball lined into the gap for a base hit. This will get down out there for extra bases."

Why Was It Incorrect: The ball was softly lined over the SS and the LF got to it before I had even touched 1B. No chance of it being extra bases.

Incorrect Commentary: PA Announcer at the end of the game while viewing Game Summary "The win goes to Josh Outman. His record is 9 and 1, just his first loss of the season."

Next game: "The win goes to Edgar Gonzalez. His record is 14 and 8, his eight loss of the season."

Next game: "The win goes to Vin Mazzaro. His record is 10 and 7, his seventh loss of the season."

Another game: "The win goes to Brian Bannister. His record is now 9 and 11. The save goes to Joakim Soria. The loss goes to Dallas Braden. His record falls to 7 and 14, his eleventh loss of the season."

Why Was It Incorrect: The PA either announces the winning pitcher but then states that the game result is his # loss of the season or that the loss is the pitchers # loss of the winning pitcher.

Incorrect Commentary - Matty V will announce a solo HR as a 2 run HR. "A 2 Run shot for _____"
Why was it incorrect - I hit a solo home run, happens quit often

Incorrect Commentary: Generated player names annonced wrong
Why was it incorrect?: For example, a player name John Blair would be called John Baker or John Bateman, etc by Matt and the PA announcer. I think this was a problem in 09 as well.

Incorrect Commentary: "If he was looking for a time to get his first hit of the series, now would be a good time."

Why Was It Incorrect: It was the 4th game in the series and I was 4 for 16 in the series. It was top of the 8th, score was tied with a runner on first. I was 0-3 in the game at that point.

Franchise

Fred Lewis in the first inning flied out to centre field to lead off the game. Sanchez then hit triple and knocked in on Sandoval double.

Lewis came up to bat in the 3rd and the announcer said something along the lines of "Lewis, singled last at bat and came around to score the opening run of the game"

Occurance: Every Game ( Although im only 10 games into the season )

Commentary: It's opening day ( this might go away, others might be able to confirm that this goes away after the first two weeks. I say it because im into my second home stand as the red sox, and it's still saying it.

Incorrect Commentary? Soup says something to the effect of "And with this being just the first week of the season, I doubt they'll let him go past 7 innings" relating to my starting pitcher

Why was it incorrect? I've heard this line throughout the month of April.

Incorrect Commentary: At the top of the 9th, when the home team is trailing, a cut scene will play with a graphic of the batters due up for the bottom of the 9th. While this is shown, Matt will say "It is opening night around the MLB, and here's a look at the batters coming up for the home team as they try to blah blah" or something like that
Why? this always happens for me, even when im already weeks into the season.
