Would it be worth buying The Show 11 for around $25 now, or will the price drop when The Show 12 comes out?

I'd actually wait for MLB 12 though... From what people have said, the gameplay should feel like a major upgrade.

We are so close to 12 I would just wait and skip 11. 12 is going to play dramatically different and worth investing the extra $35 if you if you planned on laying down $25 on a year old title. If anything just download the demo for 11 to get a taste of the Show.

I was actually planning on buying the new game but Im actually going on holidays to Europe for 2 months in june. Se when I get back Ill be buying Madden 13, so really id only have about 2 1/2 months to play The Show 12 and then on n off with madden afterwards. So i was thinking of getting The Show 11 cos its cheaper. And I just wanted to learn more about Baseball so I might not even notice the difference too much. What do you think?

To be honest I would still get 12 because many things were refined in 12 that bothered people in 11. Might as well start off on the right foot. Also, when 12 hits the online portion for 11 shuts down including rosters. Just some things to think about!

To accurately guage whether a purchase is worth it I need a detailed break down of your financial status. This includes your yearly take home salary and any and all previous and continuing expenses that allow for your daily existence.

Honestly though, which ever version you can afford is worth it. Whether or not you can afford $60 for '12 is up to you. If all you have in your pocket is $35 then buy which ever you can and you'll be happy with it.

It's become an annual tradition for me to sell old games and even sports cards in hopes of off-setting the cost of The Show each year.

So far I've covered the cost of The Show so I won't have to actually spend any "net" dollars. Find some stuff around the house to sell and cover your finances. It feels go to sell stuff, plus you get The Show.
