Is Steve Lyons the Answer?

The show is close to being a flawless game. Ive always said if you stick mlb 2ks commentary on the show it would make it perfect. Lyons replaces Campbell in the Booth this year, yes campbell was absolutely awful in previous shows which will improve it. The problem I've had though is vasgersian is way too monotone, and some of the commentary in general is just boring.

What's everyone elses view?
Is this the last chance for the commentary?

I do think the need a new main commentator for MLB The Show.

They should get Joe Buck or something as main commentator.

I'm probably the minority here, but to me commentary is a little overrated. Sure, it's icing on the cake, but not the main course.

The NHL and NBA2k series have great commentary on the surface, but play a lot of games and it repeats the same things over and over anyway. It just sounds more refreshing in the delivery I guess, but you're going to get a bit of staleness regardless.

I end up tuning it out anyway. The gameplay is what keeps me coming back.

I think Steve Lyons will bring much needed energy & enthusiasm to the commentary

Who would people want then? Cause Buck is main commentator on Fox isn't he?

I just named him cause he's main guy on national tv broadcasts. I don't know many national MLB commentators since Jays never play on national USA tv(and if they ever did,Canada isn't able to see it)

I don't think he's necessarily the answer, but it should improve because it's something fresh. He's my opinion on the commentary. I think Matt V is a terrific announcer, The Show just needs to add more of his excitement and energy to the game. Matt V gives energy during his broadcasts in real life and if that were implemented in the game I think it would sound great. If they kept the same announcers as now, but implemented a 2k style system with a lot of energy, it would make the commentary terrific. Overall though I just want to see more energy from Matt V and I would be happy. His energy from the A's Tigers playoff series is what needs to be in The Show.
