2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Read this post please!

Edit 15/06/2013: OS Trade Values Spreadsheet 2.5 released!

With just t-minus 1 hour until midnight release I figured I'd start up the thread I totally called dibs on.

The purpose of this thread is to give CONSTRUCTIVE criticism of others' trades, and for others to suggest potential trading options. However, know that if you post anything involving Harper/Strasburg/Trout/etc, etc, then it won't be well received.

PLEASE BE SPECIFIC in what you are looking to acquire and who you are looking to give up. Statistics would be helpful in your posts.

And most importantly, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take a look at the trade spreadsheet before you post. Totte did an incredible job with it.

Also, PLEASE DO NOT BUMP YOUR POSTS FOR A MINIMUM OF 3 DAYS. Your fellow OSers are just as busy as you are and may not be able to get to your post just this second, so clogging up the thread is rather annoying.

I look forward to another 500+ page thread in which to spend 99% of my summer in.

Edit 04/06/2013: Take a look at this, it's a good list of realistic big name trade candidates. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/0...is-summer.html

Edit 28/06/2013: How to tell if a prospect is a high, mid, or low potential prospect:

Oh yes it will be. Also, I just took a look at the amazing spreadsheet you guys made. Wanted to make a comment on it, as a Tigers fan I don't think its unrealistic to acquire Quintin Berry as he's a bench bat and Detroit wouldn't say no to a deal involving him. Hell Castellanos appears to be closing in on being ready, Boesch is around and nobody wants him, and Garcia is promising as well...Berry may not even make the 25 man roster in 2013

Can't wait to ask some good questions and watch NFG and AC shake their heads at trades for Stanton and King Felix
