    Who Am I?

Hey guys! I've been reading posts on this site since 2010 with every incarnation of the Show. Obviously, I've been accustomed to seeing familiar names that reside within these forums and always wondered; who are these people? I think this can be fun!

    Let's stop wondering...

    Age: 38
    City: Los Angeles, CA
College: SDSU '98, baseball player, 2B
    Drafted: Yes, Angels
    Level: Rookie Ball
Current Occupation: Athletic Director, Beverly Hills

    Steve

Age: 49 (I look and act a lot younger )
City: Calgary, Alberta (also worked in Colorado for 8 great years)
    Profession: Software Developer

    Hobbies/Sports:
    Skydiver (made over 1600 jumps)
BASE Jumper (I have my BASE # meaning I've been off all 4 object types ... scary stuff)
Motorsports (avid F1 fan and own and drive a '97 Porsche 911 at my local track)
Skiing (former volunteer Ski Patroller at Lake Louise)
Hockey (played Midget AA, needed to be a star in AAA to have any chance)
Football (played four years in high school)
Rugby (played four years in high school)

    Baseball:
Not counting recreational co-ed adult softball leagues (which were fun), I never played hardball. I once had a friend who was into some recreation hardball and I went out for a game one day. But the pitchers were a little wild. I did not know whether I should be swinging or ducking. Never went back. Thought I should stick with safer sports such as skydiving and BASE jumping. LOL ... but MLB The Show is such a great game, I am getting into this baseball stuff.

Im wondering if this doesnt belong more in the OS Neighborhood rather than in The Show Forum.

        Age: 46
        City: Doylestown, PA
        Profession: Attorney
        Sports:
Baseball - Stopped after Little League
Softball - Played adult rec leagues for about 15 years
Roller Hockey - Played 8 years as a goalie before fully understanding the body no longer responds well to the physical demands.

All of that said, Curahee is probably correct - this thread should probably be in the OS Neighborhood.

I would normally agree with you curahee, but I think the show players on this forum are the most quirkiest and diverse out of any sports communtiy out there. I play almost every sports game their is and I have posted on, or followed this forum for almost every game imaginable (american sports). I find show players to be some of the most intelligent and helpful communtiy members out there.

Never once have I posted something and gotten "You just suck, get better at the game", or "Stop complaining about issues, if you dont like it then dont play". Every answer is usually met with a thoughtful and respectful response. So I think this is a great idea. With that:

          Age: 27
          Profession: Sales
Hobbies: Competive Slow pitch softball league, sports gaming, and of course fullfilling my spousal duties lol
Bio: I was born and raised in Los Angeles (Loyal Angels, Raiders, and Lakers fan) but have recently moved to Orlando to further my career. I have been playing the show since 06' with Ortiz on the cover and MVP baseball and triple play series before that. I was a great athlete in high school but never had the size to continue my pursuits at the next level 5'9" 170 lbs. Okay maybe I was just not good enough but I will never admit it lol.

              City: Hillsboro, OR
Profession: Software Engineer, the other half of the company I work for creates scouting tape for 29/30 MLB teams.

              Hobbies/Sports:
Play and Coach Basketball. I've been around the sport for 25 years, I used to tag along with my dad to his practices when I was 3 (he was a coach)
Golfer- it's my favorite sport to play, mentally there is nothing close to golf

Baseball:Played Little League but basketball was always my love growing up. Getting older I loved baseball video games the most because of the GM side of things are much tougher than the other sports IMO, MVP 05 is my fav baseball game of all time but when I got a PS3 in 08, I was relieved to finally play the show.

                              Occupation: Retired.

I was on the PS 174 softball championship team in 1952 or '53. They gave us championship patches that my mother sewed into my baseball jacket. Unfortunately, when I outgrew the jacket, my mother threw it away--with the patch sewed in

A few years ago, at age 65-66, I was doing audio files for MVP baseball, and my Audio By Cavicchi thread is a sticky there on that forum. I often wondered what those guys would have thought had they known how old I was.
