PERFECT Game!!!

After taking 3 previous no-no's into the 7th innings, i finally, FINALLY threw a perfect game!

I pitched it with Colorado Rockies Pitcher Tyler Chatwood on default Hall of fame settings and sliders for those wondering, and actually... and i dont wanna sound egotistical but it was kind of easy What i mean is the pirates made it easy as they started to swing at everything after the 6th inning. I dont know if it was a di#k move on my behalf, but i kept on running that 2 seam fastball down and in on RHH and dropping Chatwoods change-up in tight on LHH. They just kept swinging and missing, so i wonder if it was just the cpu trying too hard? Oh well, it was a great feeling, i even woke up my youngest kids once the ball landed in the first basemans glove to end the game... then my wife scolded me and asked where the millions dollars was....told her wrong game

The ending reminded me a lot of the movie "For the love of the game" with Kevin Costner, as the pirates had a rookie come in and pinch hit for the final out, and he promptly hit a chopper to the pitcher for the final out.

That's awesome, congrats. I just avoided a perfect game with a bloop hit to right with Ruben Tejada in the bottom of the 9th off of Strasburg. I have the worst team in baseball, but I was just glad that didn't happen to me. I've thrown one in The Show with Clayton Richard, but it was a no-hitter. Did it in '11 while going for the "Support The Troops" trophy. Have the highlight on my XMB and it's like four plays. Me hitting a ball off the pitcher to score, and all three outs in the 9th haha

Good deal, glad you were able to break it up. (I have Ruben on my Rockies in my chise, guy is KILLER against lefties) I almost had a no hitter thrown against me and i have a top 10 hitting team. Its just something about lefties and me, i guess my real life struggle with lefties follows me everywhere!

And you did it with Chatwood on HOF that's crazy

I used Lirano and had a no hitter going on vs the Brewers till the 8th on the last out then Braun hit a single had to ruin everything lol

Like i said in my first post, after the 6th it became easy. I would set them up and get out the lefties with a change-up in tight and low, or a fastball high, up and tight. I really didnt give them a chance to extend there arms. With the righties, they bit at the 2-seam down and in around the knee, plenty of short "trying to just make contact" swings. I think i only had 3-4 hits actually reach the outfield and i remember a cut scene with Car-go playing with the grass over in left

I can't get passed the fact that you pitched a perfect game at Coors Field. I've never even pitched a complete game there.

Due to the light schedule across the league and my team having the night off, in a CPU vs CPU game last night I witnessed a no hitter being broken up in the top of the 8th inning. But it wasn't a "Perfect Game" scenario. The pitcher, the Royal's James Shields had walked one batter in the middle innings. Other than that he was perfect. However in the top of the 8th, Shields gave up a base hit followed by a two run home run soon afterwards.

Of course I wasn't involved in this game, just observing it on my night off. But it must suck to be so close to goose eggs only to have the wheels fall off.

Oh, that was icing on the cake...it was in year 2016 on my franchise in case your curious how he got there. I lit him UP for 3 HR's as he was struggling to locate and had to throw "get me over fastballs" that I was just CRUSHING. Most Hr's I have hit in ANY game so far in 13', and with a perfecto...great combo
