Even if Sony does add back support for MP3's which I think they will at some point there is a good chance MLB 14 the Show will still not have sounds of the show feature. Because by the time Sony releases a new firmware for MP3 support most likely MLB 14 The Show will have already been released.

Yeah, '14 is definitely feature-locked by now (probably has been for a couple months, in fact). And I believe there was already news of NBA2k14 Next gen not having a custom sounds feature, so this is certainly not news to developers.

They obviously want you to purchase your music AGAIN from Unlimited so THEY can get the .99 for each track but why its not integrateable into the games is beyond me.

Thats the deal breaker for me. I'll wait until its an available option.
I waited 3 & 1/2 yrs to buy a PS3, I can wait a few more to buy a PS4.

I bought a PS3 because it worked as a media server. It allowed music throughout the entire house. It was a means to play movies that were digitized or on disc.

What is missing from this thread is the lack of DLNA so you won't be able to connect it to a PC and stream video, either.

They added a bit of umph in the hardware for gaming, but not that much and not to current standards. They tried to make it about social networking. Basically, we can make legitimate comparisons to an iPad with a controller.

At this point, The Show is the only reason for me to even consider a PS4. If my PS3 dies, I'll be getting a used one before I get a PS4.

Seriously?!
So You can't hang your external harddrive to the PS4 and play your music?!

This is a big step backwards!
Ofcourse everyone is trying to find new ways to make money but this is just ridiculous. I mean so many batter walk up tunes I use won't be in a Sony library ever!

After the loss of analog face buttons this is the 2nd bad news I hear about the ps4.
Not as much as the Xbox One yet but still...

We did mention it in the other thread and you are not alone. There are others of us that feel the same way you do. Not very impressed.

I was on the fence about getting the PS4 right away... not any more. I waited 3 years after launch to buy a PS3 so I can wait on the PS4 as well. I am still putting in plenty of play time on my current gen console anyway... with no lack of enthusiasm for it I might add.
