I may be misunderstanding you on the percentages.
Doubles were between (somewhere like) between 18-22% of all hits in MLB with approximately 20% being league average. So basically 1 out of every 5 hits. And league average for Home Runs was around 15% of all hits (I may be a little bit off there). I probably completely misread what you said but I'm on a phone and my wife is rushing me lol.
But anyway like you said its under 2 doubles per game for most teams. I'm hitting over 1 double out of 4 hits approximately (26%). And a lot of triples too but it just may be a weird rash of triples before I go on a long triple drought. Not sure exactly how to remedy it, just hoping it comes down over time. Other than this small item I'm seeing good numbers
Actually I misspoke in saying less than 10% of hits were XBH, and meant to say less than 10% of ABs.
On average, HRs and 2Bs are pretty close to the same, with 2Bs being a bit closer to 2 per game per team and HRs under 1.5 per game per team.
How many games have you played? Is it impacting both teams? Raising fielder speed would help you, but it raises it for both user and AI.
Hey Mike, great to see your sliders back this year, particularly the ones that don't directly affect individual hitting (as I'm just not as good a hitter as you). Getting those fielder, injury and computer pitching sliders right gets so much in place for me to find my own balance for the game. the amount of detail you go into in that video as well will be so helpful in finding my correct hitting sliders, so thanks a bunch!
This is more of a general slider question, but applies to yours as you have separate sliders for simming to playing, but I'm dabbling with 30 team control for the first time this year and was wondering what that means for sliders? Can I set the other 29 teams on my 2nd profile to be on the simming sliders, while keeping my main team on my 1st profile with the in game sliders, or does it not work that way? (I'm a complete noob with 30 team control, I don't even know if I can have separate sliders for the 29 auto teams)
Yep you're understanding it perfectly. Just make sure that second profile has everything set to auto.

You could also lower solid hits.
I've played 15 or 17 games with these hitting sliders. (Human hitting and CPU pitching and runner speeds). I literally just started using your human pitching and CPU hitting sliders so I can't speak for whether its happening for both teams yet.
I'm going to give it a little more time. I had raised fielder speed for a few games but it took away hits between the infield and outfield. I may try it again if I need to.
They've come in interesting ways, some games 0 doubles, then the next game 4 doubles. In my last 8 games 54.7% of my hits are singles. MLB Average is around 67 or 68% I think. Before that it was even lower, so it's slowly getting better. My last 2 games I hit only 3 doubles out of 15 hits (20%). So maybe that will continue. I'm a fan of proper sample size and I'm going to give it some more games. Baseball is a funny game.
I really liked your sliders last years and it will be the same, this year. For this year, I'll playing with the Pirates, directional hitting, meter pitching, HoF for both.

BATTING: 2B: Dickerson (1) 3B: Marte (1) HR: Rodriguez (1) RBI: Bell (1), Rodriguez (3) GIDP: Bell
Well, the Tigers won the battle of the bullpens and it was a match where the Pirates was unlucky, I would say. 3 or 4 times, we hit the ball well but not enough to score a HR, the outfielders catching the ball at the warning track. But, it was a really good match to play.
