Question, sorry if it’s been answered. I see base run speed is at 4, I’m sure naturally that affects steal attempts a tad, right? Or am I wrong here

What are the average total pitches, avg taken and avg swung per game?

In 2017 the league average for pitches per team, per game is about 149 per game. Some teams saw an average of up to 157 per game while others as low as 140 per game.

League average for swings was 46.6% of total pitches.

That leaves 53.4% of pitches that were taken.

That works out to, on average, about 69 swings per game, and 80 takes per game.

This may be eye opening to a lot of people who already think they're being patient at the plate.

Just played a game using these sliders. The cpu starting pitcher through 140 pitches in a complete game. Granted I was way off on my timing being the first game I played in about 6 months but. He he wasn't pulled at all. Could I have a setting wrong somewhere? Cpu hook is set at 2

Ya. It was at 2 for the starter that never got pulled. It was a 5 hit shutout which isn't anywhere near unheard of but. 140 pitches

Damn 140 that’s crazy my 2 7 slider has been working perfect who was the pitcher and did you have a 27 strike outs

Haven't seen anything like this yet. I saw the CPU pull the starting pitcher after 8 innings the other night, in a one-hit shutout. His pitch count was over 100 and his energy had zeroed out before the 8th even began. He finished the 8th, and they tried to let him finish, but apparently they discussed it in the dugout and made the decision to send a reliever out for the 9th. But he was no where near that many pitches . He was almost at 110.

What pitcher was this?

It was Chris archer. I struck out 12 times. Hah. I'm not going to say I didn't chase a lot of bad pitches cuz I did. I was awful. He was at 100 pitches in the 7th . They had the bullpen warming up from the 7th on. They just never pulled him.

I like how these sliders looks its actually very similar to what I did in my own few exhibition games to get a mirrored real life game. I don't know if I can handle Legend though! I'm on all-star with the pitch speed tuned down...my eyes are too old. [emoji39]

Anyways, what do you mean by "sim"? Do I leave the slider at the sim setting for franchise mode then manually edit when in-game?

I have a question to anyone here used to the different fielding options. I'm playing rtts and I'm using button fielding with feedback off since it tells us that feedback off bases everything off player ratings. Now I believe it does base throw power off ratings because my players arm strength is 65 and I've seen some lazy throws. I'm just wondering can my player make inaccurate throws on these settings because I haven't seen that yet and my arm accuracy is only 65 as well. Every throw just seems to be on the money accuracy-wise.

Mike, what is your thoughts about CPU Contact at 4 ?

I can't have a decent amount of K's because the ability of the CPU to make contact way outside the zone is kinda ridiculous. Even on a early/late swing to a changeup, slider or any other breaking balls, 90% of the time, the CPU make contact.

Oh, and now, I know why, I think, I have a high BABIP :
