Also, can't decide on finishing this Marlins 'chise or starting fresh. Got about 30 games left w Marlins in 2017.
I think a new team would be best. There has been so many changes to the roster that it would be more fun to start fresh with a new team. Maybe do a team that is not a multi year project like Miami. Mets, Brewers, and Seattle might be some good choices. The hardest part for me every year is choosing which team to pick. Im thinking of doing my White Sox this year. They already have a lot of future players in the minors which makes it nice. Im not a huge fan of doing a bunch of trades.

Hey Mike, I noticed your human pitcher consistency was at a 9 in last year’s game. Now you have it at 0. Is there that big of a difference in this area from that last year’s to this year’s? Or is this a mistake?

You're under the assumption that we're not just a few games back of a wildcard spot heading into September

Also, Stanton leads MLB with 48 HRs and 104 RBIs thus far. Also Dee Gordon has 76 steals.

So we're a different Marlins team, but I think part of that is what I like. We took what was originally a middle of the road team way back when, and we simply went in a different direction than real life.

As someone who works in a very similar industry, they aren't lazy; it's just difficult to ALWAYS catch everything all of the time.

Time is a resource often in short supply and always in high demand...

SDS fixed catcher defense enough that we no longer need to over-compensate. Now we utilize that slider to create more walks which is DEFINITELY what we want to be using it for. Last year was only out of necessity that we had it that high.

That's probably the biggest improvement in this year's game because of the waterfall affect it creates.

Ahh. Ok. I’ve been getting wildly inconsistent pitches with the Yankees starting staff and nailing the meter on legend pitching. I’m going to bump it up to 2 and see what happens.

Spoiler: You won't walk enough opposing hitters.

Hey, if you do decide to start fresh did you have teams in mind? Curious as your marlins pick last year was actually a pretty fun team to play with. I do like the idea of playing middle of the road teams rather than rebuild. Makes the season more interesting and has a lasting appeal

Well, I had to restart my franchise mode because I noticed that the OSFM version that I was using had many errors.

So, I've decided to take the Yankees and to play on Legend, because, why not, and the 1st match was very fun to play. We won 5-3 at Toronto, thanks to Stanton and his 2 HR. We were behind 3-2 but Stanton hit a 3-run HR at the bottom of the 8th and the Yankees took the lead 5-3.

                            Here some stats :

                            Teams :

                            Yankees (32 AB, 7 H, 3 BB, 8 SO) : 3 2B, 2 HR, 1 GIDP - BABIP : 0.227
                            Blue Jays (32 AB, 6 H, 1 BB, 7 SO) : 1 2B, 2 HR, 2 HBP - BABIP : 0.174

                            Pitchers :

                            Severino : 6.1 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 6 SO - 4.36 ERA
                            Betances (W) : 0.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 SO
                            Robertson : 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 SO
                            Chapman (SV) : 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 SO

                            Stroman : 7.1 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 6 SO - 3.68 ERA
                            Oh (L) : 0.2 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 1 SO - 27.00 ERA
                            Tepera : 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 SO

                            1st pitch strike :

                            Yankees : 71%
                            Blue Jays : 57%

Batter analysis (don't know if that's helping) :

                            Yankees : 13 missed, 7 SO
                            Blue Jays : 6 missed, 6 SO

If I start fresh (and I plan to finish the Marlins too), I'd go with:

Tigers (my only rebuild I'd consider because they are my team)
Mariners (Dee Gordon again, middle of the road team, and I just love Seattle)
Mets (classic rise or fall team)
Pittsburgh (classic jerseys, a borderline rebuild, but could surprise via analytics)
Brewers (classic middle of the road team. They have a great OF)

There would be other fun teams, but I couldn't stomach being them ha.

I have seen some games with lower BABIP, but then a lot of the hits being XBH. I'm wondering if we try and bump contact UP, and solid hits DOWN. I'm much more inclined to at least rasie the AI contact up one notch to 5, but haven't sold myself on that just yet.

As for the roster errors...can't you just edit the roster in franchise? Personally, I'm waiting for a OSFM roster that's been edited to have:

                                Real contracts
                                40 man rosters
                                3 CLs for each team

I haven't seen one yet in the Vault.
