Ohtani was making me look silly through 4 innings.

I made a decision to take a lot of pitches and just sit on the off speed stuff. At the expense of striking out.

I got him up to 92 pitches in the 7th inning. Drew a 2 out walk. Sat on his off speed stuff, he hung a curveball, and I drilled it in to the LF seats for a 2-1 lead.......hung on for a 3-2 win.

There is nothing at all wrong with this gameplay.

Not at all and the last two updates had nothing to do with offline gameplay.

I just had a crappy loss. Don’t know if it was a player mistake or what. The cpu had the bases loaded with 1 out. They hit a small looper in front of the shortstop. I thought he was going to catch it for the out. The runners were holding and the shortstop looked to hold up and let it bounce. I was like perfect double play. I threw home for the out and then threw to first. I didn’t even notice the catcher wasn’t standing on home plate. He was standing in front of it thinking it was a pop up. So I lost the game on that play. That sucked.

Same slider set for both using HOF difficulty and Armors latest version. By the way I am 70 years old and still love this game.
70 and still playing? That’s great to hear as I’m 56. I was kind of thinking that this might be the last year I buy the game as I don’t think I will invest in a ps5 next year.

I use Armour’s sliders as well as they have ALWAYS been perfect for me and am playing on HOF as well. I trust his judgment after his many hours of testing. This year, I have made a few tweaks of my own however. I have upped the pitch speed to 9/8 (I love the feel of having to be on the edge of my seat and sit on a 95 mph if I want to catch up to it) and I have increased starting pitching stamina to 6 for both human and cpu. I also keep the swing/pitch info on (instead of clear screen) as I like to see the mph when I’m hitting to see my timing. For the sim feel I listen to my catcher 99.9% of the time. When I’m up in the count I usually listen to his type of pitch he calls but will aim a lot farther off the plate to go for that swinging K.

After many practice games and waiting on a roster I was happy with (plus restarting my franchise over several times) I’m starting my Reds franchise today with Armour’s sliders with the tweaks I mentioned above. I also have a Yankees franchise ready to go as well as I like to have both an AL and NL team so I can play in all the ballparks. I have always been a Yankees fan and I wanted an NL franchise with a team that’s good (and good power) but isn’t guaranteed a playoff spot. I think the Reds are a great team for this.

Well, back to my game on Opening Day. I gave up a homer in the top of the 2nd on a hanging curve to Fowler. Than in the bottom of the 2nd Winker is up yo bat with a 3-1 count. Hit a 387 foot homer on a, you guessed it, a 96 mph fastball (perfect timing). Man I love this game!!!

This is exactly the way I play as well except I didn't change the stamina sliders.

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider

Wait a sec , so I never really cared to look into this new feature of relocating and creating a new team but I'm really looking forward to moving the Marlins either to Montreal or maybe even Vancouver . But you ur stuck with the same Stadium and city and can't even rename it ?? This just has me confused , what's the point of this relocating and renaming teams if you can only pick from the current MLB stadiums or some minor league stadium ? So if i want to move the Marlins to Montreal they will be playing home games in Miami .... Am I missing something ? If this is the way it is than its 100% useless and the dumbest thing I've seen
