Re: Armor & Sword’s MLB The Show 22 Classic/Directional/Clean Screen Simulation Slide

I am confused on those settings. I sometimes use the directional buttons depending on the situation if I want to go opposite field. Most of the time I just push X to swing. Would I have to go with timing then?

I rarely ever selected a direction when hitting the past two years which is why I am using timing instead of directional.

But if you still want the option to influence your swing then you’ll want to stick with directional.

I was thinking that too. But just didn’t know it I’m going to make it harder for myself when I don’t push a direction.

Just a quick word about whether to warm up relievers with those 8 pitches.

I've always been convinced it makes no difference. Tried it a few times today, with the warm up and not. I did full, accurate, 8 pitch warm ups, and also bypassed them.

I then hit Mound Visit immediately, and discovered the pitch confidence is at 50% regardless.

Maybe it's random, or other people see different outcomes, but I tried it three times today, and that's what I saw.

It also lets you feel what they have good command of that day.

Sometimes they have better command of different pitches different days. This allows you to clue into that before facing your first hitter.

Hmm. I think that's hard to judge on 8 pitches, but,

Like many on here my whole MLBTS approach is based on your clean screen approach and sliders. There are any people here, both vocal and anonymous, who appreciate what you do.

Glad you're back this year.

Oh yeah no doubt 8 pitches is not easy to judge but sometimes it can definitely clue you into a pitch to avoid that day.

And my pleasure!
