Well since you were loving it so much, I caved and bought it. Wow, glad I did. Having a blast so far already.

Truly miss SOTS but so far 22 is phenomenal.

Everyone busy playing I hope!

V1 feel amazing. I am pretty stunned right now how quickly it came together.

To be quite frank…..the game feels the a fully refined next gen version of 20 and it was easy to hone in on some settings.

Other things like errors and injuries will take a ton of sample size….but so far feel and look great.

Hope everyone is feeling good about the game and V1.

Vibration... What do you think?

I'm conflicted. I have it switched on at the moment.

I know the argument is to have this switched off, because it warns you when you're out the of the zone. (not that this is terribly accurate anyhow, imo).

However.. after years of playing I know where to aim in and out of the zone regardless of the vibration, it neither helps or hinders me, ..and the other benefits, especially with the haptic controller - (bat/glove contact etc), are great.

So, I have it switched on this year.

If only there was a setting to switch it off just whilst pitching!

I’m the same way. Last year I started switching it off just for pitching but it was such a pain. For me, the vibrations are just too good when the ball hits the bat or glove, and don’t even get me started on the perfect timing vibration, it’s a thing of beauty. Definitely sticking with full vibration this year.

Armor, what do you use for Audio settings? I have always used broadcast but the way you describe I feel like I’m missing out on a different setting.

I will throw up my audio settings tomorrow.

I do have play by play on but half way. Crowd/PA/Sound Effects are maxed.

Armor and Sword thanks for sharing your sliders. If we don’t use Dynamic Difficulty Sensitivity do we set it to zero? I know you said you don’t use it as well.

Armor...I just read your review and I thought it was excellent!

I agree this version is the best ever! I too only wish they would add back YTY and SOTS. I really miss SOTS.

That said, I am very excited about what they did for the game for 22. And I feel really good about the future of franchise after Nick's interview.

Glad to have ya back!

Ive got to say, after playing 21 all of maybe a few hours last year, there was no chance I was buying this years as of 3 weeks ago. Then the changes with the announcing and tweaking crowd noise got me pumped a bit. I just felt like that could freshen up the game because it was getting stale for me.

Anyway, the moment I turned the game on yesterday and experienced the visuals and noise, I knew I’d love it. There was just something about it where I was like yep, this is the next gen game I’ve been waiting for. People can say all they want about the game looking like PS4, but that’s a damn lie. Yes, some things do (grass still looks awful IMO) but not the extent people love to complain about. And yes, it still misses all of the great PS4 features but this game is eye popping, smooth, and finally has some fresh presentation. I’m ok with the trade off. Last year I wasn’t.

To top all of this off, last night I see Armor had this thread and my jaw dropped. I got to play a couple games with the sliders after putting my boy and wife to bed. The two games and 3/4 of one today of a fantasy draft practice franchise have just been awesome. One game last night took me 1 hour and 20ish minutes because the starters just labored. Both at 100 pitches in the 4th and it wasn’t high scoring. There were just that many deep counts. Take that people who want 20 minute games ha.

Man am I glad this game is fresh again and Armor is back! I’m staying off any threads that aren’t this one. I’m not risking my fun being ruined. Cannot wait to start a Twins franchise soon.

Treat yourself to all the new animations/improved outfield play/amazing new presentation.

And keep playing 20 as well for your classic roster and bacon roster fix!

Best of both worlds with 20 and 22!
