PS5 upgrade worthwhile?

Honestly, if you only play "The Show", I would not purchase a PS5 right now. Keep in mind, however that I would think in the next few years, the game will only be available for next gen consoles....and the switch so maybe wait until Sony refreshes the PS5 in the next year or so.



I've had my PS5 since its initial release and that is mainly because I play games other than "The Show".

As others have said, I wouldn't update until it isn't available on PS4 anymore if this game is all you play. Unless you really, really want stadium creator. A sports title isn't worth a whole new system IMO. I updated because I play a lot of story driven games that benefit from the power of the PS5. Personally I wouldn't have just for the show.

Funny part is its been leaked about possibly the next ps system coming out in 2025. Which to me is so odd. I have had a ps5 since launch and I feel like it just came out. And so many had to wait due to shortage. How can another system come out in 2 years. I mean MLB the Show did not even make a ps5 potential game yet. Let them do that before we hit ps6

Not gonna lie....I waited forever and finally was able to find a PS5 around the same time MLBTS 22 came out.

Now that I've gone back to MLBTS 20 full time, sorta wish I never made the PS5 purchase.

I have a feeling I'll never buy a PS5 game again. Madden wasn't good, NHL was worse and the patches killed NBA2K.

All I play now is MLBTS 20.

Since I mostly play RTTS and they ruined the mode with DD integration, I still play 20. But let me say, even with 20, I’d have a hard time going back to the PS4.

PS5 is a great upgrade in general, whether you play the Show or not. Just be prepared to replace the controller that comes with the system within a month because it develops stick drift

I think I may be the only one who likes the card perks thing with RTTS. I still wish we could allocate training points where we want, but I do like the perk system stuff still.
