If you love pitching, can't imagine why you wouldn't roll with the Mariners.
Castillo, Kirby, Gilbert.. Miller is poised to breakout. Hancock has had a great Spring and will start in the rotation with Woo having issues.
The pen is loaded also.
The offense will make you want to player lock your starter though. Totally teh sux outside of Julio and Raleigh. You want free speech?
Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours.Comment

Re: Let's help the indecisive franchise guys
Went with the Royals. I started a franchise in 23 with them. Signed Snell and votto. Was having a lot of fun, so made those moves first.
Now, I also added 5 created players(hey, it’s my world) and have run with it.
This is when I usually start thinking about redoing it with a different team, etc. trying to fight that temptation and keep rolling. LOL!

Re: Let's help the indecisive franchise guys
I started a Mets franchise day 1 with the game and got about 8 games in. Was really enjoying it but I felt like everything I was hitting was a home run.
Tried KC. Nope
Tried the Tigers. Nope
Tried the Angels. Was really enjoying that franchise but what I really wanted was a small market team so any major move I make has to be carefully considered. Felt the Angels budget was too high. Nope
Tried Miami. Pitching too good. Nope
I’m now on Pittsburgh. Small market. Pretty weak pitching. Moves to be made. Good prospects to look forward to.
I think I’ve found a winner.
I went back and played some more exhibition games (always my first week or so to test teams and make sure sliders are good) and have settled on the Reds. I'm enjoying it so far!
My choice came down to that I am good at pitching (debating bumping from HoF to Legend) and average at best at hitting. I put up pretty realistic numbers on all-star hitting-wise, probably too few walks and too many strike-outs, but pretty good. The Reds are fun as they have a good lineup to platoon and get everyone involved (though I've had so many games against lefties to start the year).Last edited by zukes; 03-26-2024, 01:25 PM.Comment

Re: Let's help the indecisive franchise guys
I’m down to 3 team. Some of my criteria are franchises that haven’t won a world series in at least 5 years, young super star potential player, good stadium/uniforms, not a lot of power on the team and not a complete rebuild since I like to play the first year.
Pirates
Royals

Re: Let's help the indecisive franchise guys
I would do the Mets but played with them 2 years ago and feels too similar roster wise. Came close to using the Reds, Yankees and Giants. Finally settled on the Orioles, even though they are a 100 win team they are young, decent rotation and loaded back 3 bullpen. Like the uniforms and stadium plus playing in the AL east is fun visiting NY and Bos, TB will suck lol. 4-2 so far, struggling offensively overall but showing flashes. I feel like the Reds would be fun if I get bored anytime soonLA Angels
Dallas Cowboys

Re: Let's help the indecisive franchise guys
I don't know what the opposite is of ''If you can't beat them, join them'' but Montgomery leaving Texas for Arizona fits the bill. Luckily, Boras caused him to be on the Default Roster, and consequently he's a Met in my franchiverse.Graeves.Comment
