Buying or sticking with last years
Im stuck in the middle at this point. I love 24. I only play offline franchise. Im really enjoying 24 Franchise. 2025 Seems like a fresh coat of paint with new font and dark colours on the same product. Contracts never bothered me.. its a video game. The offseason also seemed fine to me. IMO they could have put their time into other areas. I buy the game every year. At the moment, my rosters are perfect and i dont think i have ever played a more complete product on the field. Just beautiful. Not sure i want to spend months fixing 25 rosters for a couple things they changed that i dont care about.
Like i said… im stuck lol

Buying. If was tight on money, I would have no problem sticking with last years.
I've pretty much felt this way for the last fifteen years but I have been fortunate enough to buy every year day one.Graeves.Comment

Buying. To piggyback off of this, how are people planning to buy? Physical, Digital, Early Access? I want the physical disc (I’m not sure why) but also don’t want to have to go to Best Buy on Tuesday. I just want to download and play!Comment

Re: Buying or sticking with last years
already pre-ordered the digital deluxe version on the Switch. I might buy the regular version on xbox also. I played hours and hours and hours of it last year on the Switch handheld and had a blast. I have a backbone for my phone too but it's a lot easier just playing the Switch.Currently playing:
MLB The Show 25
Forza Motorsport
Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic
Teams:
New York Mets
New York Jets
Philadelphia FlyersComment

Re: Buying or sticking with last years
Pre ordered. Can't wait. No game is perfect, and there are, of course, things I wish for, but this game rarely lets me down. And they showed some love to us franchise guys and gals this year.
Took that Friday off, and I'll be playing EARLY and allll day.JUUUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDEComment

Re: Buying or sticking with last years
Definitely buying, but only the standard edition this year. Up here in Canada the digital deluxe edition is 45$ more. I just can’t justify that for 4 days early access, and I don’t care about the extra online goodies you get.MLB: TORONTO BLUE JAYS
NFL: MINNESOTA VIKINGS
NHL: TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS
NBA: TORONTO RAPTORSComment

Re: Buying or sticking with last years
Pre-ordered the digital deluxe addition. I will say though that this is the first time I didn't do it the day it went on sale. Took me about 2 weeks to pull the trigger.
I LOVE the Show. It's by far my favorite game and the one I play the most. That being said I really haven't seen anything that made me want to jump to 25. I really like how 24 plays and this was the first year I considered not buying it. In the end though I do play the crap out of this game so I decided to pre-order. I'm hopeful there are QOL things in the game and things they haven't talked about yet that make me happy that I did buy.MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies
NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins
NBA: Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic
NCAA: Penn State Nittany Lions, Boston College EaglesComment

Re: Buying or sticking with last years
This is the first time I am buying on release day since MLB 20 (my wife and son surprised me with MLB 22 so that does not count).
I have been a year behind the last two cycles and ended up LOVING MLB 24's gameplay in a big way.
I am extremely excited for MLB 25, the gameplay, presentation, franchise improvements etc.
Locked in for Digital Deluxe early access on March 14th on the PS5Now Playing on PS5:
NHL25 - Panthers YR1 (57-13-2)
CFB 25 - Alabama YR8
MLB The Show 24 - 1990 Blue Jays
MLB The Show 25 - 2025 Yankees Year 1 (19-18)

Re: Buying or sticking with last years
I've played the last few years in Game Pass, so the decision for me is buy 25 or buy 24 for cheaper. Which, to me, is a little bit different than just sticking with last year's.
Very likely buying 25. The Free Agent changes are enough for me to take the plunge. And the fact that I didn't really get very invested in my franchise in 24 (I used my Braves, and the combination of them having a disappointing season and really enjoying College Football 25 meant I basically didn't play after July) helps push me in that direction.

Re: Buying or sticking with last years
Undecided, but leaning towards buying. I've played 440+ hours of '24 (DD and Franchise) and didn't pay for the game individually (Game Pass until it was on PS+ then PS+ from then on, still playing my franchise with updated rosters and Armor's sliders - better late than never, right? haha).
The digital deluxe version is $129.99 CAD, so assuming I played the same 440 hours that works out to $0.295/hour CAD....pretty cheap entertainment. And I do like the looks of the revamped offseason even if nothing else is changed. And with Armor having preordered, selfishly I am looking forward to using his setup again as I do for MLB, Madden and CFB, so there's that too.
What is actually holding me back tbh, is '24 playing so well with obviously no patches or updates or anything that would upset the apple cart going forward versus starting all over again in '25 with 20+ game updates due throughout the cycle....decisions decisions.
