How are budgets handled when there is a draft in leagues?

Are the budgets based on the actual budget of the team in game (i.e. Yankees have 200 mil and the Astos have 60 mil) or is it the same for each team?

It is indeed based on the actual market of the teams, I believe. If we turn the budgets off, people will have no problem shelling out 800 million dollar contracts so we actually have to keep budgets on.

If budgets off were to indeed set a budget that's the same for every single team, I would def consider that as well based on the reaction from the members, but I don't believe that's how budgets work in the game.
