    soooo close!

After countless baseball games played over the years I finally thought I'd have my first no hitter. Lost it with 2 outs in the top of the 8th. Would have been sweet too, against the hated Cardinals and Wainwright. I won it in the bottom of the 9th on a Coghlan double and a single from Starlin Castro

So for those who have come close to a no-no, when did you lose it?

The last no-hitter I had going, I lost in the 3rd inning.
But srsly, I've lost at least 4 no-no's in the 7th inning.
I can't say that I recall losing one in the 9th inning though.

I almost did it once with Jeremy Hellickson. I had two outs in the top of the 8th and Billy Butler kept fouling everything off till he got the dreaded single. Now every time I face the Royals, Billy Butler is dropping to the ground to duck every pitch.

I carried one for 8 1/3 with Michael Wacha this year. So heartbreaking to lose.

Back on MVP Baseball 2005 I had a perfect game with rodrigo lopez through 9 2/3 and lost it. I've had quite a few go to the 7th or 8th on MLB The Show and lost, but I don't remember having any go the 9th. On MLB 14 I had one with Ubaldo through 8 1/3 before I lost it (on a blooper).
I do have one no hitter with Roy Halladay playing against my brother (who's about evenly matched with me, so it was exciting)

Closest I got was going into the seventh with no hitters a few times with Rich Harden.

I finally threw a no no in my Mariners franchise with Ferlix Hernandez.

I've never, in my roughly 20+ year, sports-video gaming life have thrown a no-hitter or a perfect game. The closest I've ever came was taking one into the 8th with Edwin Jackson of all people (although he actually threw a no-no in real life).

Also, I hate how the announcers keep talking about it when you get into the 6th and 7th. I'm always thinking, "dude, SHUT UP!"

Lost a perfect game with two outs and two strikes in the 9th with Dan Straily (!!!). I hung a slider. Was devastated

Closest for me was a perfect game in '10 with 1 out left (simmed fantasy draft with Brew Crew, opening day vs Rockies, Dan Haren pitching), Matt LaPorta pinch-HR'd.

Closest in '14 - RTTS pitcher in AA New Britain (forget against who), lost perfect in 7th with a throwing error by 2B, lost no-no on a single past said 2B in 9th with 1 out. Had a 1-hitter earlier that season at Reading, the lone hit was an inf. single to SS by Adam Loewen who wasn't hitting BLEEP at the time (.064) in the 7th.

I lost my perfect game in the 3rd inning by walking wainwright!

I did it with Kershaw this year with the Dodgers. I can't begin to tell you the stress that I encountered those last 3 innings. Sweaty palms is an understatement.

I had my own "Press Conference" Let's just say "The Wife" looked at me sideways
