Just bought a PS4 for The Show

the last of us is a great game , one of the best from last gen. I would say thou be prepare to have a rough time with The Show at first, I played mostly 2k baseball games until I finally got a ps3 back in 2011 and it was a struggle at first but in the end The Show is by far a more rewarding baseball game once you finally get the hang of it. the first time you crank a no doubter over the wall you will feel it.

Unfortunately, online modes/performance has been the achilles heel of this game. Hoping it's improved this year.

So there isn't one or its just bad?

Like the 2k series was terrible because the Online League was all User vs User.
Ideally, I'd like to have me and a friend or 2 play a full season with our teams. Not User vs User every game. If not, oh well

Yeah another reason I'm trying to get in some serious practice with 14 (I'm a rookie at baseball games and baseball in general) before 15 comes out. I cannot contain my excitement for that game.

One thing that will help you greatly is The Show's Dynamic Difficulty, which adjusts on the fly as you improve at the game. Why all sports games aren't implementing something like this is beyond me.

It's there but sometimes unplayable due to lag.


Disclaimer: Despite of the online performance challenges, I buy The Show for PS3, Vita and now PS4 every year. It was also the sole reason for me switching from X360 to PS3 a few years back.

Yeah I really love that they have that feature. I agree, it should be something in all sports game.

I remember February of 2012, I was all psyched for MLB 2K12. That was until I saw a video of MLB 12: The Show on here. I happened to have a little extra cash at the time, and I was so impressed that I went out and bought a PS3, a Vita, and The Show for both systems. And I was so hooked on the game. Despite the fact that I bought both systems for one game, it was the best investment I ever made.

Glad to see you coming aboard. You're going to love this series.
