No rules, really. I just play however I want to make it the most fun for me. Sometimes that means really keeping it as realistic as possible, sometimes that means breaking the rules quite often. (fleecing CPU on Trades, editing certain players to be better than they actually are, etc)

Re: House Rules for MLB The Show

I have no house rules. I play to win and makes roster moves based on what I feel will give me the best chance to win.

Re: House Rules for MLB The Show

Only casual pickoff attempts if AI has an extended lead. Even that is still too powerful.

No free agent signings until the first offseason (since the AI refuses to sign anyone during the season).

Only trade for guys on the trade block, or at least a mixing of them into a deal.

Like others, not exploiting the trade market and finding acceptable deals from both sides.

I'm one of the few who is against 30 team control. The RL 2015 offseason is precisely why unexpected trades are indeed part of baseball. Often times there's something bigger in play as I've seen teams sort out an odd trade by using pieces elsewhere. Odd trades are part of baseball, and there's a lot to consider when determining why a team should or should not have make a deal. I just let them go. Far more fun to have LESS control. I like not being able to undo it. Like eye witness reporting, we can't just trust what we think we see.

Plus, I'd be afraid I could never turn it off in my year to year import franchise later on down the road!

Being fair in regards to call ups. Do i call up the 25 year old who is putting up solid numbers? or do i bring up the top guy who is struggling? Also going by real life development times. I don't want to rush any top guy up just because he is good id rather have him have to develop through the different levels for a while unless i draft him and he is in early 20's, then i might rush him ab but just like in real life

When I do franchise, I have exactly one rule, and I wish it could be done in RTTS as well.

No designated hitter.
