The progression in The Show has always been horrific. Guys that have all-star like seasons at age 36-37 will go from 88 overally to 61 overall in 6 months. LOL

Fair point. I don't have a problem with the initial overall ratings however if they're going to have overall ratings they (SCEA) should at least get it right with the progression/regression aspect of it.

Can we edit the player's ratings ourselves?? Like after each month go through a teams roster and sort by age. Look at those guys' stats etc. If they did well then edit what they are regressing in to make it at the least where he didn't regress or progress.


I wouldn't mind this workaround if we are able to edit ratings in a franchise mode with 30 team control. Really wouldn't even take that long at all. If anything, just edit all of them regressing at HALF the amount the game is showing. So when Ortiz shows -5 Contact by the end of May, edit it to where it's only -2 instead.

I'm actually pretty encouraged that players are still regressing, I had been slightly concerned when I heard that performance was now playing a slight role in progression. I think the big thing to keep in mind is that when you begin with someone whose age is several years past the programmed beginning age of regression, the system tends to play catch-up in that first season.

Maybe there's a better way to institute it that first year, but of course you have to program it to allow for any type of customized starting roster.

You do realize the overall rating is effected by the entire attributes of the player.... you can remove that overall, I wouldn't care. I still care about my star players over the age of 35 going down by -8 in all attributes at some point.
