What are the attribute effects of hot/cold zones?

I assume that the hitting hot/cold zones are just attribute adjusters that apply to your player's natural power/contact ratings?

If so, does anyone know the exact values that they will boost/lower the hitter's attribute ratings?

It does effect attributes but I have no clue what value of impact it has on those attributes.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I presume it's fairly minimal like +1 or possibly +2 for red and -1 or or possibly -2 for blue. I can't imagine it being anything more significant than that.

I would love know to the impact as well...for that matter, I'd love to be able to edit a player's hot/cold zones.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Yep. It's one of a handful of problems I still have with this game. The inability to edit hot/cold zones is really annoying.

Still searching for a definitive answer to the exact attribute effects...

I think the bigger problem is all these little features with no real explanation behind their impact.

Tbh, I thought there was just a default hot/cold zone (or for non RttS, whatever it is in real life)then it changed depending on your hitting pitches (or not) in the zone, such as getting hits or making outs.

I'm not going to spend the time searching for it but a dev on these boards said that it was a rather insignificant +5% for hot, -5% for cold, and no affect at all if you have hot/cold zones turned off.

I thought it was just for visual reference. I didn't think it could affect any attributes.

Why do we have to ask and receive vague responses or wait till someone in the community comes along with a close answer or have to scour random forums online? I remember the days when things were explained to you in the manual...

There are a ton of these types of questions in this game but can't really go to one place and learn about them. It is the little features like these that make this game great and add to realism but really wish we knew the complete story about them from the get go.

5% seems fairly significant to me. If a batter has a 75 contact rating, that moves the rating to 79. A rating increase of 4 units is fairly sizeable.

I didn't think off made them have no effect. I thought it just turned off the visuals. So does preview only affect attributes on the first pitch then?

Agreed but I personally still would not refer to that as significant. A 50 would only increase to 52.5.

To quote Russell: negative ghostrider. Off means bonuses are off. Preview only shows a preview but bonuses are still active.

I hear ya. I did a digital download such is the age we live in I suppose. There is a digital manual that is free. I don't remember other games getting this specific in manuals though. Like, how much damage did an upper cut do in Punch Out?!
