Then dont move it.

I just pick a spot I want to swing at, then swing if the ball enters that spot.

Expand with 2 strikes, but othwrwise stay disciplined.

Re: Zone or directional

use educated guesses. Pitchers with a great fastball will stay higher in the zone. Pitcher with softer breaking stuff will stay lower. Pitchers with a sinker are also gonna pound the lower parts of the zone.

With no outs or 1 out, and a runner on 1st, you are probably gonna get a lot of pitches down in the zone to induce a double play.

A weak Speedster at the plate will probably see a bunch of pitches up to induce a pop up or fly ball.

Use the information given to decide where you want to sit on a pitch.

Re: Zone or directional

Also with 2 strikes, be an opposite field hitter. wait on the ball a little longer because you are being reactionary, instead of letting the ball come to you. and use contact swing. you just want to try to get it in play with 2 strikes, or foul it off to see another pitch.
