Great Days at the Plate

I created a thread discussing dominant pitching performances, so I thought I would create one for great performances at the plate.

For me, it was just recent when I went 5 for 5, hitting for the cycle with Matt Carpenter against the Brewers. I finished with a single, 2 doubles, a triple and a homerun.

The other one I had came a week earlier against the Brewers where I clobbered 5 homeruns as a team. Brandon Moss hit 2, Matt Holliday, Jhonny Peralta, and Kolten Wong each hit one.

So, what have been some of your best performances at the plate this year in the Show?

Re: Great Days at the Plate

Two games ago I had an excellent day with Cargo.

He finished 4-4 with a single, double, two home runs, and a walk. One of them was a 2 run shot, the other was a grand slam. He was responsible for driving in all 7 of my runs.

How about 10 runs. On 9 hits. In the first inning. https://youtu.be/Aotei3TT53E

This was last year.

That is a heck of a way to begin a ballgame.

Re: Great Days at the Plate

Wasn't a really crazy day at the plate or anything but my favorite by far was a 2 hr game with Gardner in Toronto, ledoff the game with a no doubter and.followed it up with another no doubter in the 22nd.

After many many years of playing the show, I had my first 4 HR game this year! It was with Kris Bryant playing @ Pittsburgh on All-Star Hitting. He homered in his first 4 at bats and flew out his last time up and ended up with 7 RBI. My team absolutely crushed the ball that game and we had 8 HR total!

Re: Great Days at the Plate

I know this isn't the kind of 'great days at the plate' you're looking for, but a couple weekends ago I played with St Louis in playoff mode. Against the Reds Yadier Molina threw out Billy Hamilton. Twice. He also tagged out a couple runners at the dish trying to score from 2nd on throws from OF'ers. And with bat in hand, not too terrible day at the plate there either: 4 for 4, 4 singles and a walk.
