Boost mode is a feature that was just released for ps4 pro. It allows unpatched games with unlocked and uncapped frame rates to run better.

My experience is that general gameplay is smoother but there is still judder and crowd shots see familiar frame rate dips, but not as much. I would not described it as silky smooth.
