How many own a PS4 just for The Show?

In 2013, I bought the console and just waited for MLB 14 to come out. Yea, there are some other good games that have alot to unpack but I didn't even care if it was a flop I only needed MLB 14 to be satisfied with my console. I still play MLB 14, that hopefully will change when MLB 17 is released.

Back in 2013 I had a choice my fiancee told me PS4 or Xbox one for my birthday. Easy choice was PS4 mainly because of the show coming out the next year

I'm a lot younger than you guys, didn't and still don't have a wife to discuss the purchase, however in '09 I asked "Santa" for an Xbox 360 because I wanted to play with my other friends who had the Xbox. Played MLB 2K9 and MLB 2K10 often because baseball is my favorite sport.

I had played The Show from 06-09 on PS2 but when I got my Xbox I thought 2K could handle the load. Then one day I saw a commercial for MLB 10 The Show. My jaw dropped, I did a quick Google Search and wound up on this website and found myself looking at the Pictures thread. 2K wasn't going to cut it anymore.

I sold my old PS2 games (except The Show) my PSP and other Xbox 360 Games (still have the console, gave it to my brother), did some extra "chores" around the house and bought myself my own PS3 and MLB 10 The Show and I haven't looked back. I bought every The Show since then on release day.

Then I asked "Santa" for the PS4 the year it was released (2013 I think) and have loved every second of it. I play other sports games like NBA 2K and Madden, but haven't purchased them every year.

This year was the only year I've only bought The Show and no other video games and I can honestly say the extra time I have for The Show as opposed to splitting between The Show and 2K has been well worth it.

Can't wait for The Show 17!!!

I had an XB1 for a couple years but I couldn't go any longer without a fully licensed MLB game. So I traded the system in for a PS4 and haven't looked back since. I play other games, but virtually all of them are available on both platforms, so I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. Plus one of my best friends and oldest gaming buddies plays exclusively on PS4 so that's an added major perk.

I love my PS4, I love The Show. Win-win for me.

I bought my ps4 for the Show and what high hopes I had for NCAA Football 15.
Little did I know. I still play other games but the Show gets the overwhelming vast majority of my idle time.

Can't say I bought my PS4 JUST for The Show, but I CAN say that The Show is the ONLY Sports game I buy WITHOUT HESITATION EVERY SINGLE YEAR. Other games I may only pick up every other year or every third year...but The Show? Every year since 07, I think...and I have no plans on changing that trend...this game never disappoints and the hours put in each year are well worth it...

Mostly for Persona 5, but MLB the Show is a nice side benefit and almost certainly the only other game I'll ever likely buy on it.
Otherwise, 99% of my gaming is done on PC & 3DS.
