Get a new script writer and a better soundroom (and use the SAME soundroom for all three guys) and I think the commentary would be 5 or 500x better.
Actually, last year was the first year with a new script writer. And I think you can (hear) a move in an improved direction with audio presentation in 16. That said, the person that was doing it before was pretty much there from the beginning, so there was no way it could all be revamped in one year.

Interestingly, I want to say the old script guy went to EA? IIRC

Anyway, just my 2¢...

We may not be getting NBA2K style pre and post game studio shows or anything even remotely like that until 18 or even 19.

Sorry for being such a pessimist
I skip the pre and post game show in NBA 2k like 99% of the time.

I think that'd be good for special occasions in franchise or rtts though (opening day, all star game, post season etc.), but not needed for every game like 2k.

I think a sideline reporter would be a good add for the new presentation though.

I think the bigger issue is that the 3 commentators do not talk to each other and do not sound at all like the 3 of them are in the booth together. To me that's what is killing the commentary in MLB The Show. Plus Matty V does not really ever sound excited like he can get in real life. That is more of an issue then bad scripts in my opinion.

I will guess Ron Darling and Heidi Watney as MLB Network personalities.

Either way, SCEA could get into a lot of trouble if it was again made public. With all they do for us as a community I don't believe we should be the one's posting that to the public.

There is a reason it was deleted.

My guesses for the other 2 are Harold Reynolds, John Smoltz, or Jim Kaat. I would say Costas but I would imagine his cost would be too high. I would pick Al Leiter and Peter Gammons if I had a choice.

I've been playing sports games for a very long time. Commentary in every game gets a bit stale after awhile. Even if they have a reworked script eventually they start repeating stuff.. Only so much you can do in a game.
